The clever money seems to be going on Lambert......which would free up a vacancy at Norwich for Megson Sacked a manager who did well in the Championship, but badly in the Premier League for one who is doing well in League One. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. As for Owen Coyle ...

Lewis Hamilton...
Nicked for driving in an "over-exuberant manner" in Aus. News story here.
"Who do you think you are sir, Lewis Hamilton?" etc, etc...
Also, is the pic in that story really him or is it a waxwork? It looks... odd...

Well, the Celtic board and fans will have plenty of time to think about their mistakes now... I wonder who they'll get in next? As this Premier League football blog shows Gareth Southgate is still out of a job...

To be honest, I think it would be a little pointless to introduce an athletics-style drug testing regime in football. Athletics is all about strength, power and endurance and although these clearly have a role in football, they're not the be all and end all like they are in athletics. A sprinter can...

As this Fulham FC football blog points out, they're one of the most improved teams in Europe. It just goes to show what the right manager can do, even from a very low starting point. There's no reason OC can't do a similar job for us, it would be some effort though.

Alan Shearer misses the point...
This Guardian interviewalmost had me in tears by the end. He seems a right grumpy sod. The peas bit is just brilliant.

Definition of a prick? How about a manager who sets his side out for a 0-0 draw against a team which, as this Europa League football blog points out, have scored in every one of their last 20 league and european games.
Surely he's going beyond being a prick and into the realms of having a laugh?

This is all very sad. I remember years ago going to Chester away when they put on a fleet of double decker buses from the station to the ground and back. There was also a special train back to Bolton non stop, such was the reputation of our "fans" at the time. It all went downhill when Sealand Road...

Rooney burnout risk?
It's something I've been saying myself for a while, but as this Premier League football expert points out Rooney could be piling up all sorts of problems for the future. While I'm not too worried about that for now, I am concerned about the short term. Surely after carrying Man Yoo for the season he...

On a slightly related note - Hargreaves is back playing for the ressies this weekend - I think I heard - I seem to remember KB being proved right about him at the last WC when all of the meeja were saying hargeraves was wank...) ITK stuff here. Hargreaves hasn't been injured recently, his knees and...

On the scale of money available from TV and sponsorship it isn't helping the grass roots of english soccer and that is very sad. Why can't there be some form of soccer "charity" that helps teams like Chester out? Mind they appear to have been very badly run by the owners. The more these teams are '...

I think last time we did this I suggested an age limit on when you could naturalise and be eligible for the national team. 16 perhaps? That way you have grown up with the culture. There will be obvious examples of where this might not be fair but I think it is the closest we will get to a fair rule...

They go bust with a debt less than a day's pay for John Terry. Tragic how that is allowed to happen. To be honest, the whole thing stinks. Have a read about former owner Stephen Vaughan and see what you think (it might be Wikipedia but it's pretty well sourced by the looks of it). Something really ...

I've got a horrible feeling we'll be laughing on the othersides of our face after the match tomorrow. They've hit form at just the wrong time. Still, they're screwed financially so there's still that to laugh at. And, as this Premier League match preview points out, the Burnley result should make us...

I've always had issues with the grandparents rule for qualification and allowing people to play for a country because they've lived there for x-amount of time is just daft. I don't think the FA would stand for it to be honest. Having said that, the fact N'Zogbia's name even gets mentioned shows what...

Anyway, is anyone else fed-up of the overhyped w*nk we get from "Team England" these days, you know, like those f*cking highly embarassing shots of the players saying their names whilst in gangsta rap brooding poses. It might not be so cringeworthy if we were good at (as an example plucked from thi...
