Re: Can we all laugh at Roy Keane??
It's Ipswich fans I feel sorry for. According to this football blog they're getting Paul Jewel in...
Is that it for Roy Keane in football management? His early success at Sunderland seems a long time ago, and he always seemed to be on "the worst run of his managerial career"...

One thing we have to worry about - York City are magic http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mba1sse8BP0" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Footballers who look like cartoon characters...
Had a glimpse at this blog about footballers who look like cartoon characters. Thought it would be full of the usual stuff (Rooney's in there as Shrek) but I'd never seen the Rafa Benitez one before. It's uncanny as well.

The (potential) demise of Crystal Palace FC...
Sad news from That London, with Palace set to go into liquidation . It seems mad that Portsmouth can lumber on with huge debts while Palace look set to disappear off the face of the earth over £1.5 million. It's also pretty shocking that the government seem willing to let a hedge fund and a bank dri...

Worst England game I've seen in some time. As this World Cup football blog points out there's so many questions to be answered. Personally, the biggest worry was at the back. The way Rio Ferdiand was muscled off the ball by a man half his size was embarassing... Let's hope things are very different ...

It looks like Arsenal are going to try their hardest to hold on to him, according to this news story. (Or hold out for the biggest price, one of the two). If they do get £40-50 million for him Wenger will have to spend, surely?

Always nice to see a top class piece of journalism full of insight and relevent quotes. Sadly, this is a speculative piece of shite. sadly?? Sadly from the point of view of the love of the written word. Obviously, I don't want them to get their hands on him and I don't think they'll even try... Fin...

Two of next season's relegation spots filled already?
Working on the basis that the play-off winner will go straight back down (especially if it's Cardiff or Blackpool) it seems Newcastle want to get in on the act too. According to various reports, including this Guardian one , they'll have no money to spend. Given the squad is full of players who were...

Baseball pitch invader vs tazer
For anyone who hasn't seen it this is shocking (pardon the pun) but also rather funny. <object width="640" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/6_NhwoRKpi4&color1=0xb1b1b1&color2=0xd0d0d0&hl=en_GB&feature=player_embedded&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="...

Personally (and I'm drifting off topic here) I don't think Cardiff should be allowed to be promoted. As this news story points out they've been given another "last chance" to cough up to the tax man and given some of the stuff that went on their early this season it looks like it's another Portsmou...

I used to care about it. Now I see the likes of Heskey (3 PL goals all season!) getting in the squad and it makes me realise that we've no chance. I'll be around for the booze-ups, but will ignore any annoying glory-hunters with their usual 'if Giggs was English - we'd have won the world cup' nonse...

On the up side, even if United do win I think they'll be less competative next season. As this football fan rightly points out clubs need to spend to compete next time out and while the likes of Man City and Spurs will, I can't see United doing it. They've benefited from a weak Premier League this s...
