Collins is beginning to look like the player we all hoped he would be. Not afraid to have a pop at goal and he drifts nicely all along the front line.

I think that generally speaking we play better against better sides, we don't always get the right result but performance wise we play better. Maybe we have more room to play in whereas lower teams cramp our style.

Re: Re: Twixt Cups and Lips. Home to Shrewbury Town, Tuesday Apr 16th 7-45.

The earlier you strike a ball the more likely it is to be a goal. A second touch reduces the probability drastically, a third touch even more. So in my view we often play shuffle ball, against a defence, and take a shot late when the defence and keeper are fully set. We see this frequently. Our att...

Having to win at Posh on the final day is a stomach-turning prospect tbh.

Derby have won one in four - not inconceivable that our last-day trip to Posh could be a straight fight for 2nd
Yep could do with Oxford doing a posh job on Saturday

Re: Race to the tape: 2024's League One promotion campaign

Even if Posh win, a Derby defeat would leave our fate in our own hands. We could I suppose end up playing posh in three consecutive matches. Not sure on that, KP. 3rd play 6th and 4th play 5th, so Posh would have to plummet a bit. Or we'd both have to get overtaken by Barnsley. Having revisited the...

If Posh are still in contention after playing 6 games in 16 days then fair enough!
True enough , didn't realise that and they play Oxford Saturday

That's half time, I'll take that. Another comic moment right on the whistle two Derby players collide and get a free kick.

Re: Race to the tape: 2024's League One promotion campaign

League One officials are dreadful. Absolutely, but watching this as a neutral some of the decisions are laughable. Calling Derby offside when it was a Wycombe player who was through is my favourite. Yep and the linesman giving a throw when he was right next to the ball which was clearly in play.

Yep you would say that 4th is now our worst possible finishing position which should we not go up automatically would give us a second leg home fixture in the play offs.

Re: Pirates but not from Penzance. Away to Bristol Sat 6th Apr. 3-0'clock

There was one moment in the second half where a shot went just past the left hand post (as viewed on tv) and I couldn't make out wether Baxter was confident it was wide or he just couldn't get anywhere near it. I would agree with Gun we have the best keeper in the league, interestingly I notice Traf...

Re: Pirates but not from Penzance. Away to Bristol Sat 6th Apr. 3-0'clock

Professional performance today, get the job done three points in the bag and move on. The importance of next week cannot be underestimated, win and I truly fancy us to grab second place. If we do end up in the play offs , looking at the other teams, I fear no one and would be confident of promotion....
