Re: Living La Vida Loca..Away to Burton on Toast, Sat 8th March 3-0'clock
Not a great performance, but a great result and I’ll take that all day. I spent the afternoon sat in my hotel in Guimarães, scene of one of the greatest days of my entire adult life, watching the game. We’ve fallen a long, long way since that heady night, but if we can grind out the results like we...

Re: In, Out, Shake It All About: January 2025 Transfer Window
A lot of the board members were in the building yesterday (including Nick Mason of The Pink Floyd) If they stayed for the game that may well have accelerated things. Interesting. But that might suggest the action was planned given we know there was an emergency board meeting after the game. I don’t...

Re: Should I(E) stay or should I(E) go?
I said quite early on in this discussion that, rather than a knee jerk reaction, Evatt should be given more time. This gives the club time to look for the next appointment if he doesn't succeed. Personally I hope we DO get promotion under Evatt.

Re: Should I(E) stay or should I(E) go?
Stay for me. With the caveat that anything other than automatic promotion sees him gone. Do you think firmly that target will be met? Because it’s a bit pointless if not. And if you believe he will achieve that next season then the caveat is unnecessary. I disagree. It's not for me to say whether t...

21 points to play for. Best part of a fortnight to get out first team striker and keeper back Time on the training pitch Play off finals, whilst not ideal, is still progression on last season. We always, always finish strong towards the end of the season I'm not giving up on automatic yet. Lots of t...

That was awesome. Ogbeta and Collins goals were beautiful in their construction. Won't see many better team goals anywhere. We so love teams who try to play football against us. They don't stand a chance. Absolutely this. Just back from the game. Sublime performance. Shame Jerome didn't score but h...

Lyons IIRC are jam based!

Lees is the major brand that do one with jam in it. As you can imagine, in these parts I'm required to stock the different versions :) That's put my mind at rest somewhat, the thought they'd been substituted for "own brand" was shattering my middle-class aspirations! :D And yes, Boris, Walnut whips...

Reading CHINA by Edward Rutherford I've read a few of his books before. They're usually about cities (London, Dublin, New York) and tell their origin stories from little communes to the full blown Metropoli they are today. They follow the fortunes of groups of families through the centuries, married...

Cautiously optimistic on this one. We're in great form and have a strength in depth better than last year. Time to shake the hoodoo of Wigan and look up, not down.
