Let's get rid of a manager with a reluctance to change his nice football
And hire a manager with a reluctance to change his horrible football
Sounds grrrrrrrreat

Re: Rising in Wembley's Glow: A Bolton Wanderers Tale - Bolton vs Oxford. 18th May 2024, 4.15pm
I am somewhat concerned that the positioning of the 8's was part of the plan, which would have taken some mighty brave out-balls to find them under the circumstances. Whilst not thinking Ric covered himself in glory, the movement in front of him was awful. Absolutely agreed. If it was the plan, it ...

Re: Should I(E) stay or should I(E) go?
I gave myself some time before voting. I voted stay. He has failed but has credit in the bank. If he starts the season poorly, or makes excuses about investment, or not having the right players available, then he can go. But I think that after what was a huge blip, the team with a few tweaks can be ...

Re: Should I(E) stay or should I(E) go?
The squad is shaped up to play the system which it has done for 2 seasons now - It won't change and I don't think it needs to. We just need to improve in a few positions. It feels like we're a million miles away right now, but I don't think we are

Re: Should I(E) stay or should I(E) go?
Dunno about people who do a better job. I can think of at least three who will be in the Champo next season... Don't disagree Jones, Santos and Thommo all abysmal on the day but I think a player such as Sheehan, a senior pro, whether or not he has a "gaffer" name badge were equally as cuplable. I'm...

Re: Should I(E) stay or should I(E) go?
I'm not Evatt out yet. I think I was on Saturday night and whilst I've still not fully simmered after a pathetic performance, I do have to look back at the good the bad and the ugly and wonder if anybody would've done a better job. I'm not sure.... What does concern me though, is where do we go from...

Re: Rising in Wembley's Glow: A Bolton Wanderers Tale - Bolton vs Oxford. 18th May 2024, 4.15pm
The 2 Parkinson seasons that ended with the pitch invasions had happy finale's but both were turgid, boring seasons with some absolutely shocking football and results into the mix. Remembered for their relative successes, not for their enjoyment. Most of that Championship season was spent watching ...

They provided our suits for the entirety of last season. Seems we ditched that this season. Shame really, as I thought they looked the bollocks. Players obviously didn't like it

Re: Rising in Wembley's Glow: A Bolton Wanderers Tale - Bolton vs Oxford. 18th May 2024, 4.15pm
Ultimately you can have all the great aways you like but seasons need the success at the end of them to be one you will remember in years to come. Simply not true. Maybe you need success on Saturday to glean a semblance of joy from this season, but I will have enjoyed it regardless, for all the rea...

Some memorable wins, some fairly underwhelming performances, a million goals, some of them absolutely wonderful team goals and individual goals, the like we haven't seen in many a year..
Increased attendances, some great atmosphere, some top away days.
I've enjoyed it fo' sho'

Not sure the timing of this is great - If she highly vocal of the Greed of the Premier League clubs and is calling them out, she's also calling out the EFL board who pander to the PL clubs and bend to their will every time. With a play off final around the corner, and with the powerful reach of the ...

Really not too fussed TBH...I mean we commanded the support on Tuesday who were noisy and supportive - still got beat! :-) I mean we've sold 26? So only have another 10k... Gone through 28,000 now. Re: Rising in Wembley's Glow: A Bolton Wanderers Tale - Bolton vs Oxford. 18th May 2024, 4.15pm
I'm currently debating whether to buy tickets now or hold off in the hope we open up another block and I can get seats closer to the front. Does anyone have an opinion on the likelihood of us getting another block now? If people hold off, they won't open any more blocks. If you buy and they open ad...

They might have larger numbers on the day, but they'll all be day trippers, asking folk to sit down and be quiet so they can watch the show.
The quality of our support will be better, as long as we don't go behind!

"Rub of the green", something Bolton don't get a lot of, is not just a wish, it's the unknown accident that can occur in the most unexpected time and place either for you or against. Personally, I reckon it's possibly from the ancient Welsh Celtic rugby translation of " Referundinium a clitoristy" ...
