Re: QPR thread

Sam Smith's pubs don't show sport though, do they? I know the Blue Eyed Maid and it's within walking distance so I might go there.

that's a bit of a wide catchment area!!! you might need to narrow it down a bit!
Anywhere in central really. I'm not really aware of any other pubs where other Bolton fans might go.

Re: His name is Ryo and he...signs for Bolton til t'summer

You always have to take these outlandish 100m times for footballers with a pinch of salt. I remember when everyone was claiming Walcott could run it in 10.2 or something, which I'm almost certain he can't. 10.9 isn't that quick all things considered... wouldn't have won the UK Schools title with th...

He runs 100m in 10.9 seconds! I have to say that having seen this guy a few times I don't rate him especially highly. Would have much preferred to roll the dice on Morrison.

Re: Game Against The Scouse

I'm confident (well, semi-confident) that this win coupled with returning players and new signings can see us push up the table. I think it's now absolutely crucial that we re-invest the rest of the Cahill money wisely and bring in players who can help to build momentum.

I would have that Jack Robinson from Liverpool on loan. Looked a damn sight better than our own Robbo when he played for them last year.

Re: Official Gary Cahill transfer thread

So we should have £4.5m left to spend of the Cahill money if Ream did actually cost £2.5m then. Doesn't really go very far these days I'm afraid...

Re: CH's all singing all dancing transfer gossip thread on t

Dos Santos would be an alright signing if we had more cash and first got a central midfield player and a fullback. As it is, I would say we should stay away.

I like the kid Sordell at Watford. Could be snapped up for a few million and would add another dimension to our team.

Re: January transfer window...

Obviously I don't want to sell Holden, but if we had to we'd certainly be able to demand a lot of money. Really highlights the benefits of signing younger, less heralded players.

Re: January transfer window...

I wouldn't mind getting rid of Klasnic and replacing him with someone who isn't so similar to Elmander and Davies. Still think we need more pace up front. I'd also love to get Nathaniel Clyne from Palace, he's one of the best young full-backs in the country and probably could be snapped up for a rea...

Re: January transfer window...

Curtis Davies is an excellent player who's had some rough luck with injuries.

If we could sell Cahill for something close to his release clause (£17 million?) and bring in Davies for a relatively small fee, I believe that would represent very good business.

Re: Nixon Latest on Elmander

Whilst I would love Elmander to sign a new contract, people seem to be forgetting that if he does go we have a ready made, and more than capable replacement. Ivan Klasnic, up until 2 months ago was considered a much better player. He's already scored the goals (some belters too) in the Premiership,...

Re: January transfer window...

Arsenal should buy Samba from the dingles, he's exactly what they need. However, if they want to overpay for Cahill then that's fine by me. Throw in Jay Emmanuel-Thomas on loan for the rest of the season as a sweetner and the deal's a good 'un.

Re: Would you swap Elmo for Anelka now?

Also, how has Elmander proved any more than Macheda? Yeah, he's scored some good goals of late, but so has Macheda (who is 18). I guess you mean "other than all the other Clubs he's played for and his international experience"? I'm glad you're not picking the team bud. Macheda might be a good un in...

Re: Would you swap Elmo for Anelka now?

It's like asking would you swap Cahill for a 35 year old centre back who's currently in better form than him. Of course you wouldn't.
