Re: Trotters take aim at The Gunners - Match Thread
I know last week was as about as horrible as football gets but today was as about as good as football gets. Late late winner against Arsenal, Wenger's breakdown, Cohen, the sunshine...all adds up to a lovely day. Last week will haunt me for a while but today was a good answer to the criticism from t...

Re: New York Times - Stuart Holden article
Well I thought it was a really good article. Can't remember the last time I read such a lengthy review of a Bolton Wanderers player's season in the British press actually. Still can't be doing with the term 'soccer' though!

3 - 1 to us. Wigan are absolutely there for the taking. A win is most important obviously, but a good performance would be lovely too, 3 points in coming to us though for sure!

Re: Happy Anniversary .... now get a job you idle b'stard
Love him to go to Burnley, apart from that couldn't care less. He wasn't the worst man ever or anything just a desperately boring and dull football manager who I'm glad we sacked when we did. If a year ago you'd have told me we'd be 7th and I'd be really upset we'd lost to Liverpool at Anfield I'd h...

I love Boxing Day football. I'll be there. Think we'll win too, 2 - 0, finally getting that clean sheet!

Can tell Bolton's wonderful education establishments really helped make whoever wrote it such an articulate young scholar.

Re: Smackems v The Trotters
just been reading on the sunderland forum most of them are sticking up for are away attendence not that we have nothing to be ashamed of but just nice to hear again i wish them well for the rest of the season apart from the return fixture For a club who attract around 20,000 home fans give or take ...

Re: Steve Bruce
Noticed a recent obsession with attendance. Well done you have 10,000 more people at your ground. Wish people would shut up about it and get on with supporting YOUR club not commenting on other team's support.

Re: Smackems v The Trotters
Thought we played quite well. Better than our last away game at Manchester City. Sunderland have some really quite good players and they beat us 1 - 0 at home. We could easily have beaten them, and should have got an equaliser. We passed the ball about a bit but still have an obsession with launchin...

Re: Liverpool Away New Years Day
That pricing is almost as big of a joke as the club charging it. Almost, but not quite. The day I pay £41 to watch midtable rubbish like Liverpool will be a cold day in hell. Almost as big of a joke as Manchester United charging £40+ but at least they are quite good. Football prices are ridiculous, ...

Re: Wanderers v Hillbilly Banjo players
I'd love us to smash 5 in against this lot. Need to move on after a pretty abject performance against City and play a bit more football, we are a much better footballing side than Blackburn but they still have a few decent players for us to be aware of. Think we'll win though. 3 - 1 Whites.

Re: money bags v the trotters
Went to the game and thought we were pretty poor today. Our passing was dire. When we did get the ball on the floor and ran at them we looked all right and in the second half we were dangerous down the right flank but didn't run at them/take them on enough. They could have been 3/4 up after 15 minut...

Re: Christmas Slump
Everyone knows we will have a slump at some point in the season, pretty daft to predict when it will occur though. Just appriciate the fact we are in a cracking run at the moment. Apart from Chelsea away I think we could win all those games, no worries. Manchester City are all mouth and Liverpool us...

Re: money bags v the trotters
I'm going to this game. Not been to a football game for over 3 months so i'm looking forward to it. Being honest I'm finding it difficult to see us getting anything. A draw would be a wonderful result. If we try and play through them we may run into trouble, I'd rather see us have a go though I supp...

Bit depressing an anti-football side like Manchester City are still above us. Apart from that I'll take 5th place and goal of the season. Apart from losing money faster than Enron supporting Bolton Wanderers is brilliant again, even living with a Manchester United fan is ok when you win and they do...

The Smalling decision is a joke. The Kevin Davies one is at least sort of explanable, due to age, but the Smalling one is crazy. I think Chris Smalling has had one adequate game for Manchester United, in every other game I've seen him play he's scored an own goal or looked ridicuously nervous, not s...

It wasn't a red card, but at the same time there was NO way they would overturn it. It would be seen as majorly undermining the referee's original decision which they would never do. That's the problem with having a 12 year old referee though, disgraceful decision but unless the original red card is...

Anything here is a bonus, can see us scoring but can't see us having enough to draw/win. Until their inevitable break-down in March the press will keep on running with the old 'Arsenal could still grab title' nonsense and their deluded fans will keep their 'In Arsene We Trust' banners up. Can't be d...
