Re: Schu me the way to Amarillo - Summer 2025 Transfer Thread

Does feel like a pretty slow news period. Nothing imminent according to this. Though I rather think that whilst it’s obviously optimal to do business early in some respects I worry that the players who jump early are the ones who maybe others have judged not good enough or with some deficiency or a...

Re: YOUTH ALLIANCE LEAGUE NATIONAL FINAL

I'm very encouraged by the success of our youth teams on really hope it gives us something of a foundation to build upon but on the making it as professionals front, I think it's important to recognise that our club currently plays at a lower level of youth football and it might be good to temper e...

If what I've heard is true then we might be seeing a few changes.

Players clearly have no cares to give and management aren't happy.

Re: Pointing the way. Stevenage at home Sat, 3rd May 3-0'clock

I guess the thing in the BeN about informing their players their futures at the club before the game is another attempt to take the pressure off. Huh? “I haven’t had those conversations with the individuals who are out of contract yet,” Schumacher told The Bolton News. “But I will on Monday and I’d...

One way or another, This is the dawning of the (Steven) Age of a year for us. In Astrology, a time of great positive change and harmony, or as the band 5th dimension had it: When the moon is in the Seventh House And Jupiter aligns with Mars Then peace will guide the planets And love will steer the ...

Re: To be or not to Be? . ..Away to Peterborough, Sat 26th Apr. 3-0'clock.

Our top 11 appearance players were: Dapo George J Declan John MJ Williams Santos Kacha Baka Gethin Sexy Joel Dixon Will Aimson We're a lot of these inherited? In hindsight, it might have been better not to only bring in a certain kind of player the manager wanted to bring in. But, at the same time ...

Have we learnt anything from this? I'm hoping they learn the right lessons, not the wrong lessons.

Ladies/women did the league/cup double today. It's technically women's football, but BWFC actually has a women's football team this year. Some decent players! Thought I'd mention some good news.

Re: Here Wycombe again. At home to the other Wanderers. V the high flyers, Friday 18th Apr, 3-0 Clock.

They seem to play collectively some games but not others. It feels like the players don't want to get into the playoffs. Some of the strikers have met their (modest) goal targets for the season, players are saying they're sore and not playing because of that. Makes me wonder if they get paid extra f...

Re: Here Wycombe again. At home to the other Wanderers. V the high flyers, Friday 18th Apr, 3-0 Clock.

Just remember that was a team today representing BWFC who had to realistically win that game, and SS had also asked them to show him that they deserve a place next season. Enough said....the majority of that team do not give a fcuk about anyone but themselves. Not fit to wear the shirt is very apt ...

The Board wanted "nice" players who would represent the community image that they sought. So we sought after and signed "nice guys". Interesting that the only person Bertie just singled out on our team with the character needed for battle is the one player in our team who got into problems with the...

Re: Womens football

BWFC Women can win the league with a win at the Toughsheet against Preston on Sunday. I don't know which league it is, and it's pretty tricky trying to get any information about the women's team, but that's a great achievement and what's more, it looks like it's free admission. Didn't know where to ...

Re: Yorkshire Relish. Away to Barnsley Sat Apr 12th 3-0'clock.

You know when it feels like you couldn't get any wetter? That away end will always be roofless in my mind. I just meant last season in terms of position in the table. The change was long overdue. I've been thinking about the "squad's too big" comments from January, for me that's my one "beef". Think...

Re: Yorkshire Relish. Away to Barnsley Sat Apr 12th 3-0'clock.

Barnsley seem to be having a slightly worse season than they have recently. After the playoffs last time you could say similar to Bolton this season, but a bit worse from the table. Is the away end still roofless? Might be a good day to go tomorrow, sunny. It's rained pretty constantly whenever I've...

Re: Pirates off the starboard bow. Home to Bristol Sat 5th April 3-0 'clock.

Talking of home/away performances... Bolton slightly better at home than away in terms of PPG and GD but 8th position at home and 7th away. Not much in it. It feels like some away games have less pressure and the team seems to play better, but data doesn't lie. Looking at it another way, 1.50 PPG aw...

Re: In, Out, Shake It All About: January 2025 Transfer Window

Would it be fair to say, not the biggest, angriest team in the league, and not stuffed full of leaders? Is that fair? As individuals, all great for L1, but as a unit there could be a slightly better mix, maybe. A question more than a statement. I think someone mentioned recently about certain player...

In terms of tiredness. There's a day less for recovery in sat-tue than tue-sat. Apparently, the training sessions have been pretty tough too, which is great, but, you need to recover still. There was a lot of talk about rotation then how many actual changes were there? Didn't look like many to me. I...

Re: In, Out, Shake It All About: January 2025 Transfer Window

I've been ok Wiki a bit recently. Last season Sheehan and Cogs were in the League One team of the season. I'd imagine that players would want to move upwards, i.e. bigger stadiums with more bums on seats, or bigger leagues, or more money. The only one any of the squad might get at Orient would be th...

Re: No welcome in the Hillsides. Away to Wrexham Sat 1 March 12-30.

What have they spent? Or, how big is their wage bill compared to other League One teams?

Personally interested how the 8th place team compares money-wise to the top six. I think Bolton have relatively deep pockets for the division but I have no idea.
