Re: Tractor Boys - the Barry Knight Testimonial Match
Suppose so. Only two days recovery time too. There's just that sense after a performance and result like that you would not change much and aim to get some momentum.Enoch wrote:It's not dropping, it's rotating.

Re: REAM...............? Why?
Saw this article about Ream, a few interesting things in there. Do you think he will start at D-mid next game? Not particularly. He played there against Brighton and they ran rings round us. DF said he'd slipped up asking the players to play in postitions they werent comfortable in (or something al...

Re: Tractor Boys - the Barry Knight Testimonial Match
A healthy win would be very timely. Wonder if he'll put the same side out as he did for Blackburn. It looked nicely balanced(on paper and from what people have said) and is probably our strongest starting 11.I suppose there may be a temptation to swap Mavis in for Andrews especially as Ipswich shoul...

Re: Dougie Freedman - New Manager
'We can't blame the players for the position I put them in'. Though he didn't write it, he said it. He also said, 'I am really looking forward to testing my ideas to see if they work. Maybe they were a fluke and I have fluked it for two years .' Nice touch of humility? False modesty I reckon...

Re: Dougie Freedman - New Manager
I find it hard to believe coyle would have got more points in this run of games than DF has. He'd have gone out thinking(because he was deluded) that we could out football the stronger sides and we'd have got mullered because we had no organisation or belief. Barnsley was a disappointing result but ...

Re: Dougie Freedman - New Manager
The rotation thing is sensible too. There's 'rotation' and then there's wholesale changes. Making half a dozen changes every game leads to inconsistent performances. Better that than consistently shite, Owen Must be gutted we've only lost one in 9 since you got your marching orders We've won three ...

Re: Dougie Freedman - New Manager
BL3 why have you come on here to dampen the mood? Can you not just be a little more positive. He's tinkered for 6 games and we've not lost in 6. Yeah some performances wern't as good as others but my god, hate to think what you're going to be like when we lose. Elated would be my guess. Must be odd...

Re: Dougie Freedman - New Manager
I just had it on the radio so while they may have scored when Pratley came on, the other change LCY/Mills seemed to really invite the pressure onto us. Having said that, it was a fresh pair of legs in defence and it worked out ok in the end. Everything coming out of DF through the media is very ref...

Re: The Blackburn thread.
Jesus! If my arms were long enough I'd bang your heads together! Are the players good enough? Like most things it's almost certainly some yes and some no. Butterfield sounds like he made a big difference last night. Who is good enough will only become clear after a decent period of time playing with...

Re: The Blackburn thread.
I really hope we don't change too much on Saturday. Let's hope he's learned his lesson from the Barnsley feck up. Saturday is a must win game. No excuses. We need to start moving in the right direction. It's certainly a game we should be looking to win if we're going to get anywhere near the playof...

Re: Dougie Freedman - New Manager
My point was that we appeared to be comfortable and winning quite easily. He then made a change Pratley on, Eagles off and they scored within seconds of it. Maybe it was not an exact cause and effect, but we were under the cosh from that moment on. Were we not? indeed... under Coyle - such a change...

Surely the more pressing question is where the central defenders went??? Bogdan was pretty much left in no mans land and that wa...

Re: The Blackburn thread.
Any week we play two games in will probably see rotation. Yes, we need a settled team but bookings, injuries and sheer physical exhaustion can easily change that. A squad that's flexible and plays the same whoever's in or out is what we need. Agree wholeheartedly. Not something that's achieved over...

Great result.Been out at a charity quiz. Did eagles get to play in the hole? maybe the ;line up at brighton nlow makes a bit of sense. Resting his best 11 and nicking a result. 4 points away from home from rteams well above us in the table (when coyle was in charge) Come on BLT youre awful quiet ton...

When Elmander was at his best Skilled footballers, capable of giving and receiving quick passes Holden was in there, too Probably Wolves, away CYL is a great link player but never a winger. His game does depend on the quality of those around him. He'd fit in pretty well in a team playing arsenal st...

Re: Sussex by the sea!
Funnily enough the manager doesn't seem to share the experts assessment of the players on here. 'This is a good group who want to do well' . Unsurprisingly given that they dug him out of a hole today. 'We can't blame the players for the position i put them in' . Never a truer word spoken Dougie. Ye...
