Re: Three in a row? Pozzotively. No sting in this tale!

Most on here don't have a problem with negativity. When it is never backed up with a flip of the coin when things are going good, then people start to tire and turn on certain posters (BL3 being the best example) Certain negative posters say they wished to be proved wrong etc and would love nothing...

Re: Beckford

He fits the way DF seems to prefer playing and I agree with your comments about him suiting an approach away from home but it appears DF plans to use a similar approach at home too. Maybe that will change now that we are getting some results though. Course he's not anelka but perhaps those kind of p...

Re: Three in a row? Pozzotively. No sting in this tale!

BTW the goal is certainly worth watching to see the absolutely horrendous f**k up that Almunia made, it really was the worst goalkeeping mistake I have ever seen made. Isnt that what happens when you hit a bad patch. Watford fans were a bit gloomy about this one. A lot of injuries , a poor run and ...

or we could just enjoy the result and not try to goad other posters into yet another argument! I'm enjoying it Bish 8) Apologies Bish, I will hush :) Bollocks - fill yer boots  :box: :Jedi: :spank: :oyea: I'm shocked by the absence of BLT and his marginally less shock jock imbued alter ego.Sur...

Re: Rams to the slaughter?

Just to highlight the Beckford chatter Permission to feel smug ? Beckford is clearly all about confidence, most strikers are.Well done Dougie for backing him beyond the point most, including me, were giving up on him.Beckford also happens to fit the preferred game plan of DF. Ngog would too if he cou...

Here's uncle lennie giving Ngog his preseason pep talk. You can just make out Beckford swaying along in the foreground alongside the rest of strikers. How can sports science like this continue to fail?

Re: Freedman out!

Not looking good and the optimism of the brum game has gone. DF is sounding so conservative, talking about shutting up shop against ordinary teams when one up. Never something this set of players have been capable of in the past and will not go down well with fans who want to be entertained. We have ...

Re: A Visit from the 1973 Texaco Cup winners 'The Tractor Bo

Cant see there being many crosses with that starting 11 but then with ngog and Beckford who'd be attacking the crosses anyway. May be a bit one dimensional tippy tappy through the middle and give it away unless we sit back and play on the break which the home crowd will love. Shame feeney and c davi...

Re: Do Owls poo in the Reebok woods?

I'd imagine that's the 11 most people would have expected and hoped for. Will be interesting to see how eagles responds and ngog should he get on. I'd have prefered to see C Davies on the bench. the league table suggests 1 1, if we have momentum and eagles is at his best 3 1 and a real sense that a ...

If Beckford and Ngog cant cut it alone, play them together -----------Bogdan------------- Baptiste-Mills-Ream-Mcnaughton -------Spearing-Medo---------- Hall-------------------McFeeney -------Ngog-Beckford-----------  Have you seen them together ??? Ngog has only ever looked like a lo...

Re: Freedman out!

I guess if he was actively trying to move players on then finding he couldnt that could make for a pretty dishillusioned start and attitude.Freedman wouldnt have the players he wanted and some of the players he has would know they werent really wanted.Course we wouldnt know but it seems quite possi...

Re: Freedman out!

I'm a Dougie defender but I don't see how it's clear he's known the issues all along! I'm not sure we'd be where we are if he did! Hopefully, from the last few games where performances have picked up, it seems that *now* he knows the problems (PROBLEMS, not issues :hang:). Whislt it's promising, I'...

Re: Blackpool v Bolton Wanderers

Sad to say that the team selection does not inspire massive confidence. Eagles and Hall being left out seems odd. However, the others that have been left our have been utter shite so can't really complain. Kind of makes sense to me. Picked players he thinks will work hard.C Davies is still out so t...

What are we gonna do now?

Lots of squabbling about who is to blame , the coyle legacy or DF negativity, the reality is probably both, coyle left a mess and DF hasnt fixed it and may yet prove unable to. He' a negative bugger so 442 seems unlikely, almost as big a blindspot for DF as anything other than 442 was for coyle. You c...

Re: Our back four (sans Tierney)

Knight well er I dont know, do people really think he will have suddenly grown a pair of sustainbable balls on the strength of missing a game and getting a cameo up front? He's always come across as way too laid back to me and this team needs drive which I dont believe Knight posseses I think that ...

Re: Freedman out!

Strikes me a lot of folk are looking purely at the result here. We had enough chances to bury them and gave them a fluke.I dont agree with the tactics being so negative for a home game but I do think they worked in this case,a 442 with Beckford and Ngog up top isnt going to produce any more goals th...

Re: Our back four (sans Tierney)

It probably messes up the initial intention that was behind McNaughton coming in. DF may be making mistakes but also having plenty bad luck with injuries to contend with.I suspect whichever of McNaughton and baptiste is happiest on the left may go over there.Short term at least Mills and Ream should...

Re: Yeovil listen carefully. I shall say this only once

Ream and Baptiste at centre half would be too weak in the air. I think he'll recall Knight but I can see McNaughton playing from the off to get Baptiste into his proper position. Infact i'll be pissed off if mcnaughton doesn't start . Rather see wheater there than Knight but otherwise totally agree...
