Re: Palace Game

It seems to be an issue with the surrounding areas of the ground and not the pitch itself so I would have thought an early decision on Sat morning is probably going to happen. I've just checked with virgin trains and they said any advanced tickets can be used on any service tomorrow as well as offer...

Yeah its technical possible to have a ppg of 3 if you quit after one game. Its called sample size.

Re: Dougie Freedman - New Manager

I'm curious as to what people want from our manager. Under Coyle we moaned about him playing an expansive 4-4-2, not being tactically organised and generally unprofessional. Now Dougie to me is the exact opposite of that, yes he might be a little negative(I have no idea what happened this afternoon)...

Re: Tractor Boys - the Barry Knight Testimonial Match

I'd be very surprised if he plays a 4 4 2. Not Dougie's style. How many changes is that?!

Re: Dougie Freedman - New Manager

So one loss since Coyle has left. Yeah we're not chalking up the wins as much as I'd like but we're certainly better organised and have at least a chance of play offs now. Dougie is cool by me!

Re: The Blackburn thread.

Great game last night and a well deserved victory. Best I've seen us play this season. Eagles was a real threat and even Davo looked good! CYL showed some bottle too. Just lock that "stropped down the tunnel" thread. They didn't threaten until their goal. Now we've got to back it up with three point...

Re: Ingerland, Ingerland, Ingerland.

That goal was something else. Loved how he anticipated Hart clearing it by stopping and running back before he headed it clear. And the execution from that position was simply incredible.

20 Millon Euro is a fecking steal for him. Not many clubs are going to pay his salary though :).

Was that all it said? I assumed it had some racial connotation to it. Seems very harsh to be arrested for that.

Still they're a proper angry lot :)

Re: Could for Scotland job?

Well he wouldnt be allowed to sign players, so it would only be tactics and training he could feck up. Purely hypothetical but if he was offered the Scotland job and was still here, would he have taken it? Football management is so odd, guy gets sacked and is in line for the top job in Scotla...

Points one and two seem very accurate so far. He hasn't got to point three yet. The players in midfield aren't correct imv but if it all goes to plan as you say I'm very optimistic!

Re: Leicester City

Leicester looked very good in the first half especially in a strong 20 minute spell. We offered nothing in the final third during that time. Much better in the second half but we didn't look like putting a spell together where we'd create clear cut chances. Didn't like Freedman's subs one bit. OK I ...

Re: Leicester City

If Sordell's attitude has stunk in training then he should realise that Davo's performance on Saturday is a great time to buck up his ideas. He surely can't do worse. And I agree Ianmoore he looked quite handy in the Summer for GB. Actually he did more in 15 mins at Stoke than Davies did in the prev...

Re: Cardiff City

I had an argument in the gents at half time with someone going on about, "It was abysmal that, totally abysmal," and, "Probably time to start voting with our feet don't you think." 45 minutes in to the new manager, playing top of the league in a dull but generally even contest. Christ. Can't wait t...

Re: Cardiff City

I have no qualms with playing Pratley if he is used correctly. It was odd for him to be more forward than Mavies, surely it is more advantageous to the team and those two players themselves to switch positions. Pratley could harass, provide energy in the centre of the park and play it simple while ...

Re: Cardiff City

Davo hasn't been at the races for a couple of seasons. Yeah he turns out the odd barnstorming performance now and again(Tottenham at home, Villa away) that defy his ageing body. In a lot of games he looks very slow and immobile. I still feel he has a role as a "battering ram" in the last throw of th...

Re: Freedman and Gartside on GMR tonight 6pm

At times that was a painful listen with some of the callers. But there were a few telling things Duggie said. He talked about treating modern players differently than his day(are you listening Megson), that screaming and shouting isn't going to get the best out of them. Probably indicates that we wo...
