Re: Ken Anderson - New Owner (Definitely. For Now ..... )
Have we had it officially confirmed yet whether or not the EFL will be deducting the 12 points (ie did we avoid technical administration?) No, and I wouldn't hold your breath on that. For starters, the deal hasn't been fully signed and sealed (although BluMarble seem happy enough with the suggested...

Re: The Politics Thread
Winning the World Cup would give May the perfect opportunity to just quietly cancel Brexit. Nobody would notice, or care.

Re: Ken Anderson - New Owner (Definitely. For Now ..... )
He could just fecking pay them what he owes them. There is always that option. The spiv cnut. They've got form. This. Though, what if they've no money to actually pay them? This should be the one year we are able to pay our dues. With the Madine transfer (£5m up front according to Warnock), and the...

Re: The Politics Thread
Absolute nonsense. Double and triple voting isn't a thing. Everyone has a number, it gets checked off. It's possible people could lie and go back but there is no evidence it happens at a vaguely significant level at all. There have been give studies particularly in America where voter ID has been a...

Re: The Politics Thread
It's even more direct than that. You have a landlord, say in Tower Hamlets (could be anywhere mind...) who, when, the electoral registration cards come around fill in the fact that Mo Ali and seventeen members of his family live there. Mo, who in fact is Ahmed, then goes and votes eighteen times. A...

Still some way from a Sub 20 I reckon, but hoping for something around 21:30 this weekend, then a few weeks of interval training etc should get me a bit closer.Harry Genshaw wrote: ↑Mon Feb 26, 2018 10:35 pm8 miles the day after 20 is bloody impressive! Re: The athletics/running thread
Finally signed up to my first full marathon. Doing the Manchester one in April. £60 quid though! Training for this going well. Broke my 10k PB in training, even beat my 5k PB in the second half of it and did my first 20 mile long run this weekend with a total weekly mileage of 48.5. Feeling ready f...

Re: Satoshi Nakamoto's dangly bits
"Someone that somebody has decided exists" is a pretty spot on description of fiat currency and many of the fundamentals of a modern economy. That bit of paper in your wallet that says "£20" on us absolutely no value unless we all decide it does. Bitcoin itself is clearly a massive bubble, but it s...

Re: Today I'm angry about.....
Re-using is significantly better for the environment than recycling. Stick your bag for life in your car or summat ;) Indeed, but I don’t think the ideas are sticking with the majority of the public. People are just spending the 5p for bags or 10p for bags for life every single time. It’s pointless...

New 10k PB of 49:25 yesterday. There's another one near me this Sunday, I reckon I can go a minute quicker if I have a good day.

Happens to me too sometimes, never figured out why. Theories include: -Concentrating too much on breathing thus making it non automatic and unnatural. -Too hot/humid -Too much pollution -Setting off too slowly I suck when it's humid but then it triggers my asthma. Sometimes you just have a bad run.

Re: The athletics/running thread
Just ran 28k and feeling pretty good. Might just be ready for an October marathon after all. Give over! I did a shocking 15k today: slow and felt dreadful but at least wanted to come on here and be smug. F*cking cnut :D !! Haha, the furthest I've ever run by some distance, I think partly because I ...

Right, that's BP and I in for the Bury 10K on 17th Sept. Any more for any more? Hopefully BP might cross the line on his feet this time :) Doing Bolton Half Marathon the week before. Anyone else? Was considering about it, but I will have moved down south by then and it'll be a bit of a trek. Thinki...

Re: The athletics/running thread
Done the Canterbury Park Run the last three Saturdays, three PB's, down to 22.43 which is a PB on all courses and overall about a minute quicker over the three weeks.
