Said the same myself. Looked out on their feet. Can't expect to hold onto results with such a slow team. Lucky to get anything in the end.

All those applauding Parky for sitting back and throwing points away again and again possibly not so pleased now we are rock bottom again. At least Brum drew. Could get out of it with a win next week.Jim_McDonuts wrote: ↑Sat Nov 25, 2017 4:52 pmBottom again (those dropped points haunting us already)
Thanks RT, not an easy afternoon

Not saying Morais was any good. He was no better or worse than Ameobi. The point was, Ameobi didn't put a shift in on Sat. Was it the weather, was he tired, was he sulking after being tightly marked? I don't know.

Re: ALF / Armstrong
Maybe change formation? Playing a formation regardless of the personnel available is the key sign of a poor manager. At least Noone has played at this level, Armstrong is so far off this standard.

Sorry, can't agree with you there. Morais covered more grass in 20 mins that Ameobi did in 70. He just didn't fancy it on Sat and reminded me of when he first came last season. Hopefully that was also down to fitness and things will get better.

WOW, maybe my standards of effort are too high. On Saturday he pulled out of at least 3 50/50 tackles and didn't sprint once.
I don't deny he was much better the week before, maybe he doesn't like the rain?

Re: ALF / Armstrong
I thought the same about Burke and Cullen and was clearly wrong. It seems the obvious answer as to why a manager would pick a loan player who is player way out of his depth. Time will tell, but for me, Armstrong is a very poor option and will no doubt be leading the line for someone like Hartlepool ...

Re: Jumping through hoops to whack the boys from the bush? - Bolton v QPR 21/10/217
This formation is pointless. Madine wins the ball, and the nearest man to him is 50 meters away so it comes straight back. I'm glad those 2 stumps from West Ham have been dropped, but Armstrong still getting in the team baffles me. Not close to good enough for this level. His touch is very poor. Ame...

That's why we need a new manager. Sit back like that and you will concede. Was coming for 15 mins. Parky not up to the tactics in this division

Both the West Ham lads look like they are still at youth team level. Oh wait, they are youth team players. Not cut out for this level in a million years.

Re: Should Phil Parkinson be sacked?
Got to try something different for me. He did well last year to get us up, but on paper we should have walked that league (with the exception of Sheff U). Having seen how often he was unable to tactically outthink the likes of Rochdale, Chesterfield, Oldham etc, he had no chance of going up against ...

Re: A taste of honey, or a sting in the beehind? Bolton v Brentford 23/9/2017
Probably about as bad as I've ever seen (maybe on par with Rotherham 2 years ago on boxing day, or that 0-5 at Sheff Weds back in the day). We set up without a midfield. After a promising start, they realised that we had nobody in the middle and they just ran through us. Everytime they got the ball ...

Re: Turning the tide? Orwell adrift? Ipswich (A) 16/9/17 3pm
We were poor last season. Think back to the games at Rochdale, Oldham etc. Never been convinced by parky. The players we had, anyone could have got us promoted. Feel sorry for him with the lack of funds but at the end of the day, he is putting out a non competitive team. Maybe nobody else could do b...

Re: EMBARGO LIFTED!! #Boom
Spearing struggled at times last season. Not championship standard. I would avoid him unless nothing else available. O'Brien was a crock for us. Too injury prone. Not sure who else is free but if you look at these players you have to wonder why nobody else has signed them up

Just hoping we can limit them to 4. We are terrible. Early days but Darby looks like another proctor, Bradford reject out of his depths and Dervite as expected. Looking at the table and wondering who we might beat? Struggling
