Re: He's mad...Wolves away. Feb 2nd...
Very good performance. Never thought I would say this but Trotter was MoM with good backing from Spearing and Mavies. Their first goal was lucky but Holding not strong enough; the second Henry walked through 4 tackles to score. Other than the goals Wolves created nothing. Silva is good in patches, F...

Re: Players you wished we'd kept
Going back a bit:-
Denis Stevens (to Everton), Wyn Davies (Newcastle), Franny Lee (City), Dave Hatton (Blackpool) and later Peter Reid.

Re: Will Carrot Top top Carrott?
Two mediocre teams but Bolton should have won by more. Some players just lack basic ability, particularly Pratley and Cravies. Back 4 solid and Chungy and Spearing controlled midfield. NL has even got Beckford chasing back and working harder rather than standing round waiting for the ball:- Individu...

Southern Softies
As Freedman continued to add another poor signing from Crystal Palace or Millwall, I started thinking if we had ever had a Southerner as a real BWFC hero. I have been a fan since 1958 and the great teams I remember are:- 1958: all 11 Northern, if you count Hartle from Bromsgrove 1960's: Lee, Hill, D...

Re: Donk(c) - aster away - Doncaster vs BWFC tuesday 08/04/
Excellent first half with front two outstanding and well supported by Hutton, Ream and Danns. Sat back after half time and just survived. Back four good throughout but distribution often wayward from Wheater. Can understand the animosity towards Trotter. He does not work and track back nor does he l...

Re: The Debt.
The common factor in this total mess is Phil Gartside. Can anyone think of a chief executive who has presided over a £160m debt on a £28m turnover, appointed four poor managers and has kept his job with a huge salary and bonuses. How did Eddie run a successful business when he allows incompetents li...

Re: Pre Season Friendlies
This time last year after a series of bad results after some poor signings in pre season friendlies we said it didn't matter and it would all be OK when the season started. We had faith in Coyle. This season again we have had bad results after a number of further poor signings. We say it is irreleva...

Re: Wigan
Hate Wigan! When I was a kid they were in the Lancashire Combination with Horwich RMI and Chorley. My Dad took me to both Wanderers and Wigan Rugby League and I continue to support both. Wigan is not a football town it is rugby through and through and Whelan has done his best to destroy Wigan rugby...

Re: Leicester away
Butterfield had the worst game I have seen from a Bolton player. What was Dougie thinking about picking him rather than Ricketts. He gave both goals away. On top first 10 mins, then they came at us and we conceded two goals. Well on top in 2nd half and got a deserved equaliser. Sclupp's goal a match...

Re: Derby away
Derby had an average age of 23 an completely dominated the match. But for Bogdan we would have lost 3 or 4-1. Going forward our midfield was non existant. Spearing did not find a Bolton player all night ad Eagles ran up blind alleys. Total lack of creativity throughout. I don't think we sat back, I...

Another Journeyman
So is Craig Davies going to be typical of the signings made by Coyle but even lower quality. We have had two years of buying journeyman Championship standard players who think they should play in the Prem and this looks like it will continue under DF. And don't use money as a reason. Laudrup has sho...

Re: owen out 2012/2013
How has Gartside allowed all this to go on. No hand picked experts, no overseas experience, just a load of Coyle's cronies so he cn remain comfortable, not be challenged and avoid criticism. How has Gartside allowed us to get into this state after the leading edge resime of BSA

Re: Spearing £3Mil
Did Coyle not watch the Euros Olympics? Do we no longer have an overseas scouting network? Spearing follows the pattern of previous Coyle signings (Ngog, Pratley, Mears, Mills) who are mid championship standard at best. They are overpriced dross who will take us nowhere. Look at Swansea and Wigan an...

How the mighty have fallen? Bolton v Wigan
Having watched BW huff and puff their way to a lucky draw v Nottm Forest, I watched Wigan destroy them 4-1 on their own patch last night whilst we were losing ignominiously at Crawley. So what has gone wrong. We were better than Wigan for most of last year. We have a better ground, better fans (Wigan...

Signings
Coyle has made yet more mediocre signings, Andrews and Mears, to go with the others like Pratley, Ngog and Reo-Coker, who cost us our Premier League place last year. Coyle is being allowed to build a mediocre Championship side and spend our scarce money on journeymen players. What happened to the sc...
