Re: Freedman out!

It was great to win, of course, but nothing has really changed about Freedman and even in victory, he still showed the same flaws as a manager that he's done all season. We play good football sometimes, yet when we go up, instead of pushing for a second or third, we look to defend what we've got wh...

Re: Freedman out!

To everyone thinking we are already doomed to relegation with Dougie at the helm, I looked at the table from last year of the three teams in the relegation positions then Two survived. Which suggests to me no need to push any panic button yet, in order to get rid of a manager who nearly got us to th...

Re: Freedman out!

If we do replace Dougie it should be someone who is an outstanding coach personally Paulo would be on my short list. Paulo ?? I can only think of one Paulo and you cannot mean him. I mean, really, you can't !! Not saying I would appoint him, but his stats as a manager suggest he has some ability as...

Re: Freedman out!

I am at a point where looking at DF's stats as a whole they are pretty much exactly were they were as Palace manager 35% wins against 33.33%and with draws and losses around the same. Therefore if we were looking for a manager now Dougie would be in the frame, that would also suggest we suggest we wi...

Re: Freedman out!

I am curious how many of the people who think Dougie should be sacked immediately, think that Sunderland were right to remove Paulo last night? Personally they knew what type of manager he was when appointed and they have given in to player power, when they should of backed the manager. This got me ...

Re: Freedman out!

If we pay freedman (plus lennie et al) off where does it sit ffp wise? I don't think we should worry about FFP in that scenario. We don't even know the penalties for not meeting FFP. It could be a smack on the wrist for all we know. Even if it is a harsh punishment I'm not sure it would stand up in...

Re: Freedman out!

So who would you get in? Top 3 choices? 1 Steve Mclaren ( Coaching at QPR ) 2 Fred Rutten ( Unemployed ) 3 Jan Wouters ( Currently coaching Utrecht ) We need to do something different and get someone who is a better coach than manager, as everyone seems to say we have one of the best squads in the ...

Re: Freedman out!

Firstly BWFC, The Players and Dougie all have my have my unfaltering support whether in the premiership or conference because it is the team I support. Regrettably football in the era we live in means loyalty is a rare commodity were fans and media want instant success or failure ( In case of media ...

Re: Rams to the slaughter?

Gartside should sack DF at half time, and appoint the new messiah by full time. Problem solved

Re: Freedman out!

My view is that only a desperate manager would take the job as it is unless Eddie let's them buy players. They don't need to buy new players, they just need to be able to organise the ones we've got. I'm intrigued judging by your above statement you believe our current players are good enough. In w...

Re: Freedman out!

Financial fair play is currently a toothless ideal, whilst clubs have FPP targets to hit no sanctions will be implemented until Dec 2015 in order to give clubs time to make the transition. By my understanding last year we missed the the target by 6 Million, had sanctions been in place we would of ha...

Re: Freedman out!

I dont usually get involved with these threads about the manager but.................... Here is my take on Dougie, and his reign at the Reebok. Whilst still at Palace the fans wanted him out. He comes to Bolton and our performances, or league position dont improve. He takes a punt and signs Dawson...

Re: Freedman out!

Got to be a grim start but, tin hat on, If he can get us playing like the end of last season, and sooner, then we're in with a chance, tin hat off. Lots of rumours coming out that he may have lost the dressing room, can't get rid cos we don't have funds for replacements. Get the team playing 90 min...

Re: Freedman out!

This is the same manager who last season brought us to within a whisker of the play offs, and built the Crystal Palace squad that Ian Hollaway took up through the play offs. I think his pedigree stands up pretty well and given time he will move Bolton forward. Bolton has never been a club to fire ma...

Re: Away to Blurrrghburn

Whilst this seasons start has been significantly worse than anyone thought, reality needs to set in. At best this squad is an upper mid table team ( 7th -12th ). This year was always going to be more difficult, given the quality of the teams who came down and other sides being in a better position t...

Re: (QP)R We Gonna Pick Up Our First Win Of The Season?

Our first four games confirm what I suspect many of us suspected, we have a decent squad which can compete with all sides but doesn't have the quality to challenge for automatic promotion. The most we can hope for is to be in the mix for play offs again.

Re: Reading

Spearing M.O.M. Not a bad result a point against Reading if we can hold on, They'll be up there come the end of the season I'd think. Aye, if you've got no promotion aspirations whatsoever. I don't think that's fair at all. We're not going to walk over every team who comes to the Reebok, frankly, y...
