Re: Freedman out!
Why all the hassle, we WON let's just enjoy it. All this manager out talk is getting boring.
As long as we don't get relegated and we slowly build a team that can win regularly again let's give the guy some space and support.

Re: If Freedman were to be sacked
1. No point replacing him as we would still have; i) A P*** Poor defence ii) A disjointed midfield iii) No Money (even less money a we would have to pay off DF et al) Therefore, we would have the same problems and no future plan in place. DF has put a plan and people in place to start to bring the ...

Re: Bruce or Sam.
Bruce for me, I was so sad when he left us. Best football that we had played for years and as people have said the foundation and belief on which Sam was able to build.

Re: Football Feng-shui
Get their point but I quite like the away fans being up the other end myself. I also like being behind the goal on away trips, it's weird otherwise. Plus the way it works we can give the whole end to likes of Leeds and Sheff Wed Many years ago when I lived in Hong Kong I sent a very strong recommen...

Re: Freedman out!
He needs to invest to accumulate. Don't you think he's done that? Look where it's got him.......................... It has him a very nice stadium and a team that isn't really up to it. It's no good him hiding his head in the sand. Oh ffs...................... :whack: He's a fan! Fan owners s...

Re: Deadline Day
The Club is effectively broke, Eddie just doesn't have sufficient money to put anymore in, our players don't have a sell on value as they are not demonstrating any form that justifies a large, or even medium level fee. We have to accept that we aren't going upwards anytime soon, unless Dougie can ge...

Re: The "Nothing to see here"Transfer thread
Its the usual weasel words to say "premiership loans". Most of this squad has quite extensive premiership experience. Farrelly was bog standard at best. And Mike Whitlow was never a centre half whilst I've got a hole in my arse, that is until Sam got hold of him, and played him in a very rigid syst...

Re: Tuesday's Trip to Tranmere
Team, players, tactics, form, manager and fans still seem to be in a total mess and not all on the same side. It's going to be a hard long season, can't see promotion but also can't see relegation just mid table mediocrity! So sad :( I used to criticise Sam's tactics at the end but at least we had f...

Difficult to get a good team with the player ratings being used and no sub positions, but will at least give it a try.

Re: Stu Holden was fantastic tonight for the U.S
So sad but realistically he will probably be 29 when he recovers and it will be 4 years since he last played a full season, so probably the end of the road for him. Hope not but the Club has to be realistic as well. Hopefully he and they are well insured for what is probably a career terminating inj...

Even better the game is LIVE on TV here in Oz, Setanta Sports at 7-10pm, now I don't mind who they are playing as at least I can watch the game!

Re: First Match of the New Season
So what you're saying is, instead of arranging six matches, they should just have arranged one, the relatively meaningless Derby-Bolton ? Can't agree there. If you try to involve as many founder members as possible, Derby-Bolton would mean pairing Blackburn with Burnley, and neither of those clubs ...

Re: First ever League Goal in 1888
Turns out that the BBC originally got the counties mixed up, as one of the comments (accurately) says: Small error, Bolton played Derby County that day. Not an earth shattering fact but we like to make sure all the unwanted records are ours. So why are we playing Burnley and not Derby County on Sat...
