Worth remembering that the opposition can't guarantee perfection ; they're just as likely as us to be less than perfect. We're not were we are by sheer luck. :oyea:

North by North West. Away to Blackpool Sat 24th Feb, 3-0'clock

With a distinct odour of Ozone, hamburgers and fish and chips on the breeze on Saturday at Blackpool, (followed by pies and gravy, at Wigan Pier next Tuesday,) a near as we're local to get northern rivalry trilogy is on the cards. Not going to be any chances of walkovers in either and the Seasiders ...

Re: Contract expiry

Each player is of course in a slightly different situation. Some, like Rico, Baxter, Toal and Sheehan are likely quite confident that they are Championship level players, and may be hesitant to sign new deals prior to the end of the season, even if we baked in significant wage rises for promotion. ...

Not sure about where the numbers have come from, but there's a world of difference between having the same "job title" and "doing the same job, to the same level of capability/competence, for the same amount of time." :-)

Re: Contract expiry

In relation to the above: I don't normally concern myself with salaries etc, prepared to trust the manager and club, but Baxter on £6000 a week, and Coleman on £1100 for doing the same job? That raised my eyebrows?

Re: There's a Moose loose about these U's Take Twos. Cambridge United Away. 20/02/2024

Dempsey reminds me of Mark Davies. He's both a good team player and an individual one. Many of our good moves originate from him taking the ball forth instead of just wellying it hopefully onward. For the rest, what happens next; do our new players fit into the current system or does it adapt to inc...

Good result to come back from 1-0 down.

You guys are going to run us hard until the end of the season. Going to be a long two months.
Cheers for the good wishes mate. Best to you.

Not the best, but I keep reminding myself about out injuries, Baxter, Santos, Thomason, Williams, Charles...on that basis, a good ending and three points but we made it hard. Have to stop coming from behind to Hulton Lane goals though. I was gibbering at half-time. If we get to using our strikers se...

Hutchinson recalled.
I think that was inevitable under the circumstances. Coleman's no softie, but until Baxter is back, better safe than sorry. Evatt's fine as a manager, but I can't see him naming himself between the sticks.

Re: Dem Bones, Dem Bones, Dem Bare Bones....

We need to learn from this. All that matters the only metric this season that defines success or failure is whether we are promoted at the end of it. That’s always been the case and still is. The risks we’ve taken are poor ones for meaningless games. Santos stands out as the most stupid but there a...

Re: Red cards and Red Kits, Bolton v Charlton - 17th Feb 2024 3pm

Let's not look for negatives. Twice we came back from behind showing some real fight and we gained a point up the ladder. We also did it without our first team Goalie, Centre half and leading Striker. Bad news about Baxter, but Que-Sera as ever. All part of the crazy world of football. Sleeves up a...

Midfield a major worry too. Dempsey might as well not have been on the pitch today for all the influence or not he had on the game. What? Demsey worked his pills off today and was a big influence in getting us forward and into scoring positions. Either that or I was watching a different game. At th...

Re: Red cards and Red Kits, Bolton v Charlton - 17th Feb 2024 3pm

Promotion? hmmm, not like this. Get shut of the names and hire a team of cloggers who want to win...and can run. Soft goals are becoming our Achilles heel and we're looking anything but good here. The passing -possession game isn't the answer here. Fight fire with fire and play it rough. They are go...
