Re: Moving on: Forward March.
We are truly back in the realm of "Rose Tinters" (and Doom Mongers).... But if TD can point me to where that set of stocks is in Kearsley, we might be able to put them to good use. T.D. can. My daughter lives in Ringley/Kearsley and I've seen them a few times off the bridge over the Irwell. https:/...

Re: Moving on: Forward March.
Sorry TD but with respect anyone thinking that Saturday can just be swept under the carpet and forgotten is deluded. Saturday was damaging and should Evatt stay and we are not in the top 6 after 10 games, the fans will turn and it will become toxic very quickly. Please do not under estimate the dam...

Moving on: Forward March.
Although it's almost June.. Time to put thoughts of Wembley and what might have been in the shredder and become the mighty Whites again. We weren't a million miles away, just two goals and a Blackadder quality cunning plot. Sulk ye not, and let's look forward. Let's start as we mean to go on and get...

Yeah it's both true that we were awful, and that they absolutely nailed it. Could see the plan and they got it bang on. And thereby hangs the tale Pru, you could see it, I could see it, and the bulk of thirty thousand Whites supporters could see it: Why couldn't Ian Evatt? Send for Sherlock... :sho...

Re: Should I(E) stay or should I(E) go?
Common sense seems to be overhauling passion. Change is needed and I think he must know it, , but not the manager, just his mind.

I thought we were just looking for a one word answer, sort of "In my opinion"?

Golden rule: Do not let players run at you . Don't back off. Oxfords rule seemed to be "If you can't get the ball, get the man". They did, it worked.

Re: Should I(E) stay or should I(E) go?
Go. If he’s here next season it will be toxic and horrific. If he stays it shows he has no integrity or ethics. He needs to resign tomorrow. That more than a bit, "Off with his head". Would you? Or just hold your hand up and say you got it wrong on the day? I know we're being asked our opinion, so ...

Re: Rising in Wembley's Glow: A Bolton Wanderers Tale - Bolton vs Oxford. 18th May 2024, 4.15pm
Just deleted a lengthy post because it won't change a thing. We got it wrong and lost. Everybody here knows why apart from our stubborn manager. Daft as it sounds, most of us could pick a side and a game plan that would have given us a better chance of winning. I 'm no Evatt knocker, or blamer, but ...

Evatt's problem today wasn't making a mistake; anyone can do that, it was his refusal to accept and correct it that cost us. He's a decent manager who got us within two goals of a promotion. That isn't failure, it's error.

Re: Rising in Wembley's Glow: A Bolton Wanderers Tale - Bolton vs Oxford. 18th May 2024, 4.15pm
Pretty much every post is saying the same thing, and none of us getting paid a lot of money for knowing where it all went wrong. Can't condone Oxford's tactics as I don't want us to play like that, but we didn't learn a thing. Those who said it was all over once they scored, were spot on. Charles, C...

Re: Rising in Wembley's Glow: A Bolton Wanderers Tale - Bolton vs Oxford. 18th May 2024, 4.15pm
Beaten comfortably by the better team. Oh well. No more to say really. Just not good enough. Bullied and no fight. Wish I could offer better excuses than that, but I can't. Our half looked like the Sahara desert most of the game. We were just asking to get beat, and we did. The flat foot Santos bal...

Great to read the Bruce Rioch's good wishes and memories article in the B.N. Will there ever be a better fight back game ever then the Reading one? A penalty save from Keith Branagan took us from 2-0 down to that incredible 4-3 win. Thoughts of it still give minor electric shocks to the system. That...

Regardless of varying views we're all pulling in the same direction and want Bolton to smash Oxford so we really have something tangib...
