Re: Who opened the door? My money is on Janus! 2024 January transfer thread.

Is the Championship really that much better than League One ? If the squad we have now (minus a couple) plays to full potential, can we improve without too much change? Plymouth aren't breaking all the pots so far but Ipswich are right up there, so nothing is crystal clear yet. Personally, I'd like ...

Re: Lionesses thread.

Gutted for them. Beat Scotland 6-0 and Holland and Denmark drew with a goal in extra time so we don't qualify for the Semis. Tough, they played brilliant. Maybe somebody will believe me now and admit Lucy Bronze is no full back. She had a great game tonight playing mainly midfield. She doesn't like ...

Re: Stoking the fires. Home to Port Vale defending our trophy...Tues, 5th Dec 7-45.

T'is a good feeling knowing teams will have be exceptional to beat us right now due to the level of football we've achieved. I'm confident we can win this just by playing good team football. Time to be professional and win, regardless of who scores. Get a couple of goals with our strongest side befo...

Re: General Chit Chat

First class stamp £1-25. (I ran a mailroom when they were thirty pence). When we were kids they were three old pence. T.V Licences £1-59 with a proposed 15 pence rise imminent.(These we supposed to be free to old-age pensioners, huh, what a hope. Britain has officially lost the plot. Police ...

Re: Stoking the fires. Home to Port Vale defending our trophy...Tues, 5th Dec 7-45.

Jon Bod loves the F.A. Cup. (Bolton News..) Will he love the E'F'L the same after tomorrow? I'm pretty sure Dion will start unless the Admiral will risk a death threat if he doesn't, but with no game till a week tonight, what will the focus be on and who will make the team sheet? I know the question...

Re: A whiff of Sulphur. Home to Harrogate Town, Sat Dec 2nd 3'O clock. F. A. Cup.

Luton, being in football's elite league (albeit at the bottom end) might just see our 7 nil and 5-1 as Sunday pub league stuff and that they are a cut above. If so, they may well get a shock, but then again, if their manager is mates with the Admiral, probably not. Best be prepared for a hard game. ...

Re: Lionesses thread.

Charles is somewhat of a newcomer to the first team. They're having to re-group having lost a few regulars: Jill Scott(retired) Steph Houghton (long time injury), Fran Kirby only just back from injury, Parris, Christianson, Beth England etc, etc. And then team captain Magic Milly Bright is presently...

Stoking the fires. Home to Port Vale defending our trophy...Tues, 5th Dec 7-45.

Pottering up from the midlands, Port Vale have lost four league games and drawn one from the last five. Not really any indication of what will transpire in the tin cup encounter with the mighty Whites, granted, but we must repel all boarders. On a goal run at the moment, the question facing Admiral ...

Re: Lionesses thread.

Might not be enough to guarantee qualification for the Olympics, but the Lionesses came from 2-0 down at half time to beat Nederland 3-2 last night. It's in the balance yet, but a cracking fight-back. Well done. :oyea:

Beth Mead recovered from injury is a bonus.
