Re: Bolton v Baggies - Match thread
don,t think we've turned the corner by any means Pratley in for Davies (K) only change for me got to play with same high tempo- won't - get beat 3-1 Oh aye, I'd definitely change a team that's just won 5-0. :? Trouble is, I think he (OC) might though, with one up front again, probably Ngog to start...

Re: Where are you going tonight?
Once again I'm going down t'pub tonight. I've been to the same pub every single day* since my dog was old enough to walk a few miles (*except for 28 days when I've been on holiday in Scotland, when I walked even further than usual and went to different pubs; and Monday's when my usual pub is shut). ...

don,t think we've turned the corner by any means Pratley in for Davies (K) only change for me got to play with same high tempo- won't - get beat 3-1 If that's the line-up I predict a win. If OC buggers about with the teamsheet and starts Ngog (and doesn't substitute him before 70 mins is up) I pred...

Re: 'appy 'arry's day in court
Very, very fair point CH. To be honest, it'll have to be a very, very clear case to get a jury to go 12-0, 11-1 or even 10-2 against him. Jury's being so easily influenced by celebrity these days. How are they planning to get 12 people, in Southwark, who haven't already got some view of the guy ? J...

Re: England, England, Ra-Ra-Ra...
OK. So we won. But honestly, how crap were we (rhetorical question). I can't see England progressing through the finals of any major championships playing a 9 0 1 formation, ocassionally hoofing the ball up the field and having a mad charge after it [just like we used to as kids in our street]. We o...

Still, eight days to go until proper footie is back.
You could all drive down to Buxton tomorrow and watch the match. Hendsford Town: could be thrilling.

Re: Where are you going tonight?
Tonight, same as every night for the last three years, I shall walk my dog. The dog goes for the exercise, the relief, the sniffing opportunities, and the craic. I go for the beer: I walk the dog ~three miles to the nearest really good Real Ale pub. On the way there and back I usually mull over the ...

Reading two new hardbacks: Lee Child's the Affair {got every single Reacher novel. It's completely unrealistic nonsense with an obvious fourmula behind it, but he writes so well} . Reading Gone Tomorrow by him.....not a big fan to be honest. That was the first ever Lee Child I read. If you don't li...

I've heard that:
there's no duck in Bombay Duck,
there's no toad in Toad In The Hole,
there's no turtle in Mock Turtle Soup,
and there definitely ain't any welsh rabbits in Welsh Rabbit (but there is some Worcester Sauce, which distinguishes it from mere Cheese on Toast)
