Re: Up Winter Hill Bah't hat. Home to Barnsley, Tues 7th May 8-0 clock
Peterborough looked dangerous after conceding. Well played Oxford. Posh did look dangerous and came near a couple of times, but Oxford played like they were more interested in hanging on to that 1-0 lead. Proceed with caution must be our own mandate whoever we play. p.s, I'd be marking Joel Randall...

Not one of our usual performances, could have been nerves but I think it was probably tactical. We can beat these if we don't make too many mistakes so play it safe, take fewer risks seems to have been the idea.

Re: Breaking pots... Home v Port Vale Sat 20th Apr. 3-0'Clock.
I've swung from optimistic about the playoffs to deeply pessimistic, I just don't think we can defend well enough and we're struggling to score from the millions of chances we make. It feels like there is an easy formula to play against us, put 10 behind the ball and try hit us on the break or from ...

Portsmouth score from there one or two chances, we dominate the entire match as usual, create 10+ chances and it just won't fecking go in, why won't it fecking go in, every week, every fecking week it's the same, chance after chance it's fecking painful to watch, and just to chefs kiss it, the team ...

I wouldn't bet against playoffs for us but on the other hand both Derby and we have dropped points in games that on paper should have been an easy 3 points.

Re: Pirates but not from Penzance. Away to Bristol Sat 6th Apr. 3-0'clock
Just shows how much we've missed Baxter, I don't want to knock Coleman but without Baxter we'd be 1-0 down now instead of 1-0 up. Not sure that's fair. Been some nervy moments but I don't think Baxter's done anything different than Coleman here, except possibly settle a few nerves. Refs lost it, th...

Re: Ox on the box, c*cks on the blocks? Oxford (H) Tue 12 Mar, 8pm
I've had the feeling for a while that 433 is Evatt's plan for next season. He's admitted that he thinks it's a better setup, why wouldn't you transition towards it if you think that. It better explains some of our signings like Collins and particularly Gomez, you could see both of them as wide forwa...

Re: This Exe is on fire: Exeter (A) Sat 9 Mar, 3pm
So when are Dion and Baxter back, because all I see is us dominating teams game after game needing 18 chances to score then conceding from a nothing chance. Same pattern almost every week, absolutely hate it. How? How? Is that second half possible, even the away commentators said the first half was ...

Being torn apart by a team 30 points below us, who we smashed 7-0 at home. Pathetic.

Re: Raising the Bar: Barnsley (A), Tue 5 Mar 7.45pm
60% possession, 20 shots, ripped 'em apart time after time. We should have scored an absolute hatful. Such a shame we're not converting enough, even the penalty needed a rebound and at the same time giving the easiest goals away. But come on that second half after their goal, incredible, no one play...

Re: From a Pompey fan what’s your view on Boltons chance for remaining few games?
I can’t say I wouldn’t be disappointed with not winning the league. That triple negative made my head spin. We've had our own injury crisis, which has coincided with a big drop off in form. We've managed to just about keep pace, but it's looking tough when you see our upcoming fixtures. I do...

Re: North by North West. Away to Blackpool Sat 24th Feb, 3-0'clock
I notice Derby and Portsmouth managed 1 point between them, the absolute bottle jobs. Form table. Last 6 games. Portsmouth top. Derby 2nd. We are 9th. Derby lost at Barnsley and Portsmouth drew away at Charlton. I don’t think that their runs can be described as ‘bottling it’. Ours can. And yet we s...
