Re: Will Ream be a Dream? Now with added Pitch Shirt Grin...
Well now that's its all done and gone, hope he pans out well for you. We'll always take him back on loan of you don't want him or when Coyle gets sacked and some English snob comes in and doesn't like him for being American

Re: Will Ream be a Dream?
So we've got conflicting reports/views on if he's actually quick or not then... Doesn't matter either way if he can defend, mind. Well, we have the raw-data reports from Coyle saying he's got the best stats of anyone he's had here in the past 2 years. So, assuming that's true, he's a quick runner. ...

Re: Will Ream be a Dream?
Browsing the forums for NYRB, I noticed you also have an incompetent full back called Robinson. Fancy a swap? that's actual Carl Robinson. he's a DM/CM with chronic knee injuries and only played about 7 minutes for us last season at the ripe young age of 35. he's more or less a coach for us now, af...

Re: Will Ream be a Dream?
we picked up a striker today whose salary is $250K/yr and just obtained the rights to a defender, Wilman Conde who is going to cost somewhere in the same price range our management has said that if Ream is sold, they have a card in their back pocket and they'll use it if/when this deal goes through....

Re: Will Ream be a Dream?
Tim trained this morning and i'll put this as politely as I can, he may need some time to settle in before he'll be considered for the first team to be fair, even if he did train with Bolton a few weeks back, his body is still in off-season mode, while you all are in mid-season form. i dont think "...

Re: Will Ream be a Dream?

Re: Will Ream be a Dream?
i don't want you all crucifying the guy if he doesn't play like Pique the second Coyle gives him a shot. Pique? We broke him :D According to my (wipes hands) OT insiders, it was after we beat the rags 1-0 that Purple Face decided to flog him back to Barça... LOL well barca is basically our feeder c...

Re: Will Ream be a Dream?
ISTR Clint Dempsey - another successful US->UK import - was denied a transfer the year before he came. You'd have to be p*ssed (off) with that - being denied the chance to move from £20kpa to something like £20kpw. It'd come near 'restraint of trade' over here, which is kind of why Jean-Marc Bosman...

Re: Will Ream be a Dream?
Would you say that his issue at the time was his lack of maturity, and that it seems that he appears to have mellowed with age? He definitely seems to me to be clean and mellow now, and can't remember him making a particularly dirty tackle. seems like it now, so hopefully he is. im starting to like...

Re: Will Ream be a Dream?
Oh man, when he was with the Dynamo, he was the type of player that would get in a players face no matter what the problem is. If something unrelated to him was happening to the other corner of the pitch, he would run all the way across the field and start pushing and shoving and getting in players ...

Re: Will Ream be a Dream?
thanks for the comprehensive and interesting insight, are there any jewels of US based players (other than the ones you've mentioned) that Owen should be casting his eye over? Depends on where you need the help. Check out our current national team roster on wiki: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United...

Re: Will Ream be a Dream?
Thanks for that, I for one know nothing about him so this is all useful, good & bad. As well as being left footed, does he prefer a particular side of the two centre back slots? By the way, "Sophomore slump" = "Second season syndrome" over here :) I haven't seen him as a right CB ever. I've always ...

Re: Will Ream be a Dream?
Hey all, I'm posting from across the pond as a Red Bull New York supporter. Figured since his now-wife posted on twitter that they're heading over to England, this deal is all but done (he got married a few days ago - which is why he wasn't called in to the US national team for this month's friendli...
