Re: Allardyces dream job...
It doesn't take much common sense to know that as a senior highly paid representative of an organisation, if you start openly criticising that organisation and explaining how to "circumvent" its rules and you get caught, you're for the sack. Sam knew it, which is why he walked yesterday. I'd be fas...

Re: Allardyces dream job...
I think you don't get it. Whether he's talking about breaking rules, bending rules or simply manipulating then it amounts to the same thing. It may happen and there may be 'technicalities' that allow it to happen, there may not be, but it is the England manager telling people who he believes want t...

Re: Allardyces dream job...
Rubbish. Have you actually seen the (heavily edited) footage? He talks about the reality of international transfer dealings, and is absolutely clear that bungs are out of the question. No rule breaking. Unlike West Ham with Tevez - and just ask Sheffield United fans about how well justice was serve...

Re: Allardyces dream job...
Bigger issue. It's football ffs. There's no rule breaking involved. He's told them how it works and told them to run it past the FA. As for the transcript, what do you think will be on there. I'm willing to bet nothing interesting our they'd have published it. The stuff they are holding back it's o...

Re: Allardyces dream job...
Pathetic entrapment, FA wrong to get rid. Bitter London media couldn't wait to torpedo things. And who would they have instead? Harry "Rosie" Redknapp!
A story of much greater public interest would be the tax arrangements of the Daily Telegraph's owners, the Barclay brothers.

And the muck raking begins - what a surprise it is our "old favourite" combo of the Guardian and Louise Taylor:

Just realised that exclamation of delight probably sounds disconnected to reality, given we've scraped a draw at home when a point isn't enough in our position. I almost said I was "thinking of the positives"...midlands exile wrote:You beauty!!!!!!!!!!

Read again. "Closer to £15m". Covered in previous posts on here, which I think you responded to at the time, here are a few nuggets: Uncontestable elements include compound interest and management fees. Various other means quite possible and technically legal. More dubious grey areas also available...

also sounds like if it doesn't go through it isn't just down to the big bad Eddie Davies... Perhaps. But also a lot is down to him. Re: ED good memories or good riddence?
I'm not sure why having a debt is an "embarassment" unless that debt then becomes a problem and you can't pay it back and you go tits-up. In our case - it got paid off/wiped/massively reduced and seems not to have been a problem for the new buyers. As Worthy has pointed out more than once - it's a ...

Re: ED good memories or good riddence?
Do what you want fella - your life. I'm just laying out where BWFC have been during mine. :-) Maybe you want to put £xm into a football club with little prospect of getting it back - some people do you know? I'll be delighted if you do - I won't even ask you to run it properly as long as it gets in...
