Re: Rising in Wembley's Glow: A Bolton Wanderers Tale - Bolton vs Oxford. 18th May 2024, 4.15pm
For all those thinking "ah well, we'll do it next season", I don't think that optimism is justified by the teams coming into League One next year and how we've seen this team perform in big games.

Re: Would you get an iFollow season ticket?
Thanks, I didn't know about iFollow, but I do now. I think streaming is the future of watching sport for most people and as a revenue stream for clubs. I'm a little surprised that it has taken a global pandemic for this to really be pushed but that's good for me. Usual caveats about nothing like the...

Re: Administration and recovery
It was a stupid idea to build an expensive to maintain stadium in Horwich when we had a cheap one in Bolton. I can only think someone on the club's board was on the take. The future of the current club is so bleak in Horwich i'd be up for liquidation and starting a new club back in Bolton. It would ...

https://www.theboltonnews.co.uk/sport/17844164.bolton-wanderers-boss-phil-parkinson-hung-dry/ Strong words from Phil Parkinson. I wonder how many of the "Parky out" brigade have been turned by his comments? He's certainly telling it like it is. Makes you think is it a massive conspiracy to get ever...

Re: Administration and recovery
FV should put up or fcuk off - seriously we cant play the kids again mid week, the EFL should suspend the game. But do carry on with FV's tragedy of playing kids against men its so endearing....its bordering on child abuse. Yes, the EFL should absolutely suspend the game. It may send signals to tho...

Re: Administration and recovery
It just leaves a bad taste in the mouth and doesn't allow for a clean start. They're not even in the seat and people are getting pissed off. Phil Parkinson is laying into the situation. People are going to be begging for Bassini to take over if it continues as we'll be in such a desperate situation...

Re: Administration and recovery
I understand the anger, Bertie. But, it's FV or bust (and, as LLS says, it might well be FV and bust). If they walk away, there is no one else. Bassini does not have the money. Tell you what squire lets just continue with the kids and lose 5-0 every week - FV have wasted 4-5 weeks (just like they d...

Re: Administration and recovery
Whatever anybody is hoping let's face facts: Bassini is a nut job who has been put away until September. Anderson is a spiv who will get some dosh whether BWFC sells or gets liquidated (so can we please put away the conspiracy theories now folks). Rubin Administrators will get paid as secured credi...

Re: Administration and recovery
I am curious as to why the hotel is generating such interest. It has always been a slight loss-making enterprise even when 25,000 were turning up for each home game. Why would people like David Sullivan and the ex Forest chairman be interested? Does the south stand car park come with the hotel? I'v...

Re: If Bolton Wanderers imploded tomorrow...
Maybe I'd lose interest, maybe I'd probably end up supporting another team, it would have to be through an organic process though. I started supporting Bolton through a set of circumstances. I lived in the town for many years as a child but I'm not from there, I now live much further away and have o...
