Re: The Promotion Commotion Transfer Thread 2017

I agree with Harry Genshaw. I don't think that either of them are terrible players, but it just doesn't look as though we're the right sort of team for them. Whether they're any good or not though, their failure to hold down a starting place here has bugger all to do with a lack of effort.

Re: The Promotion Commotion Transfer Thread 2017

If the Football Spy hasn't been able to deduce that the only impression made by Cullen and Burke recently is that of their arses onto the rather plush seats of our dugout, then I might humbly propose that he or she drops the pretence pronto.

Bit surprised to not hear someone mention Vela. He seemed to be involved in things quite a lot via the commentary. It isn't the largest of sample sizes, and I appreciate that there are obviously other factors that come into this, but nevertheless... With Vela: P6 W2 D3 L1 Without Vela: P10 W0 D1 L9

One for you, D.S.B, : I have wondered quite a bit, just how many goals we have had scored against us in the last five minutes of play-time, or in extra time in any games? . My memory says it's quite a few over a period? Back when Allardyce was in charge and we were playing in the Premier League for...

One of the things that might need to be considered is how attractive a proposition we are.

Surely any promising, talented manager from the lower leagues would run a mile from our basket case of a football club?

:D

He once famously said "If I have to make a tackle then I've already made a mistake". Awesome.

They'll be under so much pressure to win it that they'll surely have to come at us now. Let's hope we can use that to our advantage.

For the goal you also have to ask why their man is free to nod it in at the back post. It was Pratley's fault that the ball ever reached him. What was that stat? 0.8 tackles per game? Absolutely shocking. About the same as Maldini tbf. Maldini the left back? I wasn't being serious.

Due to a warm-up injury, Jeff King has replaced ALF on the bench.

I'm going to cautiously predict that we'll win by a goal.

Re: Buoyant Bolton or Wallowing Wanderers? Fulham v Bolton 28/10/2017

Same tactics. Same result. So damaging to the confidence. Sort out something new PP it's getting old. The game is 90 minutes. We played superb for 60 mins and then sat back. Gutting. Is it actually a tactic of ours to sit back or are we just being pushed back by the opposition, especially in the se...

Taylor off (injured), Robinson on. Fulham might well find a bit more joy down our left flank now.
