Re: Next Up - Freeman's Replacement

Keith Hill is the man. Keith Hill's super white army. The song is made for him. What's Hills management record like..can't say I have followed him Rochdale - 16 December 2006 to 1 June 2011 - Win ratio 43.72 Barnsley - 1 June 2011 to 29 December 2012 - Win ratio 25.68 Rochdale - 22 January 2013 to ...

Re: Professionals' diet

To varying degrees, there's no real scientific consensus that a clean diet is any better for an athlete's performance than a normal diet. Some of the world's fittest people eat junk food before competitions. Usain Bolt is one of many. For Crossfitters there's also Rich Froning who eats pizza pretty ...

I wanted to accompany that post with something positive to say, but silence seemed more appropriate.

I just think it's something we all too frequently do badly as a club.

Why do we always...

Why do we always let people leave without giving them a proper sending off? Keith Andrews has been complaining to the BBC today about how he wasn't even phoned to say goodbye. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/23667034 Now i know he never really set the world on fire here, but thinking about all...

Re: a team of mis-spelled/mispronunciated bolton players...

Isn't a Vikla sub a world war 2 u-boat? :conf: Pooh. I keep using the bloody phone prior to the lenses going in. Nonetheless the crowd reaction that day was both very funny and incredibly rude. On an end of season DVD there was a tribute to Dave Higson which was full of stories about him. Apparentl...

Re: The "Nothing to see here"Transfer thread

Regarding Matt Mills to Leeds... “I only want people at this football club who show the right attitude to being here – not someone who thinks we owe him a favour for what he has done in the past, or last year. Matt has shown the right attitude and is someone I’d like to work with.” Another swipe by ...

Re: The "Nothing to see here"Transfer thread

Here's a question in relation to the Davies transfer I've been asking myself: If we sold Davies to Wolves on the premise that we have too many strikers in the same position, would you still sell Sordell if a bid came in for him, even though we'd then be another striker down? For the record, my answe...

Re: The "Nothing to see here"Transfer thread

Truth is Dougie did offer me five deep fried Mars bars and a black card for Nandos so how could I resist? Cheaper than Sordell with equal loyalty and commitment, it just made sense. Anyway we've signed Moritiz, probably not bad cheap squad player. Andre Moritz has left Palace today after refusing t...

Re: The "Nothing to see here"Transfer thread

Not that excited by Moritz. Palace fans seem to suggest that he's ok but nothing special, turns up only a bit of the time, and generally doesn't suit life in the Championship. Add that to 'Bambi on Ice' Ameobi and I can think of many other names I'd rather be linked with.

Re: The "Nothing to see here"Transfer thread

If we can get Beckford for around the 1 million mark then I would like to see him come in. Will get double figures in our side no problem. Did well for Huddersfield last season in an almost relegated side. Dougie use to play with him aswell so can hopefully get the best out of him . IIRC Dougie als...

Re: Club Rebranding

A wee bit on the website blurb about the old crest The existing ribbon-style crest that was introduced following the move to the Reebok Stadium in 1997 will remain in place as the club’s stadium crest. Hmm. Seems odd. Does Reebok hold sway over it, or sumfin, idk. Probably costs too much to take it...
