Re: Between the lines. Home to Reading, Sat 21st Sept/ 3'oclock.
3-0 Bolton, our poor form since NYD has been down to Craddock's coaching, should never have appointed him in the first place - just watch us go now ! Will you accept that if it's true? No because it’s absolute bollocks just like Evatt pretending he’s some hero today when in reality he’s Phil Neal M...

Re: Between the lines. Home to Reading, Sat 21st Sept/ 3'oclock.
Controversial question: How many of us wouldn’t mind a defeat on Saturday if it led to Evatt being moved on? Overall I’d rather we won, but I definitely wouldn’t be too upset if we lost and it precipitated a change. Never want Bolton to lose. Have sometimes before games thought it wouldn't matter i...

He also says: I know a lot of the lads are privileged to be coached by him compared to coaches they have had in the past, and he has given a lot to us as players, brought us on a lot. “I would personally hate to see him go, but I am not one to sway decisions or comment on things like that because i...

I'm going to test a theory. Removing the highlights page to see if we score a goal. Upholster the couch. Get sonic to buy a new kettle. We are in unprecedented times. Everyone has gone simple. I'm putting a protective sheath on it to protect it from all the wet pants. Not just Tangos corner! :D

Re: Between the lines. Home to Reading, Sat 21st Sept/ 3'oclock.
I fear for this one. Unless its a barnstorming start for us I can see the players quickly retreating into their shells with the ensuing atmosphere heading Megson's way. Evatt probably needed an away tie next up. If most fans are to be believed then it'll be like an away game as they're staying away...

If nobody turns up and they win. Problem solved.Bertie Wooster wrote: ↑Mon Sep 16, 2024 2:23 pmIt will be interesting to see what the actual attendance is on Saturday, not the published attendance as this includes 1000's of ST holders who don't come to many games - the actual no of people in the stadium.

Re: The ianevattable sacking
I’ve just twigged we aren’t bringing replacements in. So the plan to stop being so shit has been to reduce coaching and analysis staff. Make it make sense! I think we could well be a Neil Warnock rescue job around Christmas time. We might win a couple but I can still see us being in and aroun...

Re: The ianevattable sacking
The rumour is true. Staying and backroom shift. I'm going to put my management hat on, we can't have a go at Evatt for shifting his staff on if he's been told to change it by his manager, who haven't done that themselves. Captaincy. If true, Santos needs to be absolutely bullet proof from now on as ...

Re: The ianevattable sacking
Thomason clearly won’t say no but it would break him under Evatt I think. Particularly when he (Evatt) appears to be a blame everyone but himself person. Far better for a new manager to come in and assess the situation. In my short time as a Bolton fan I dont think I've seen the club do this before...

Re: The ianevattable sacking
Sharon is spineless and is selling us down the river for a manager who has done nothing but behaves like he has. I’m beyond furious at this point. Worst I’ve felt and that includes the disgrace of Anderson. The club has no leadership. Cowards all over passing the buck. A captain who has been an abs...

Re: The ianevattable sacking
If Evatt stays and a coach has been sacked then imo that will be the most disgraceful decision this club has ever made. And it would need to be full pitchforks on Saturday. I’d be absolutely disgusted in the owners and Evatt. It would signify leadership failures all over. Cowards too. Worse than se...

EIEIEIO.
Just when you think the club is going through the most stable of times.
It's almost as if we have a switch that says do not turn off and the intern has gotten a twitchy finger.

Re: Options for the next manager
Lowe was Schumacher’s boss originally wasn’t he? Was he the brains of the operation? There’s certainly been suggestions of that given how well Schumacher did with Plymouth after Lowe left. Whilst I don’t think many of us would be opposed to hiring Schumacher, I’d guess that he won’t have to wait lo...

Re: The ianevattable sacking
I doubt he's going soon. The next 3 or 4 games are going to be interesting if he stays. If his luck has run out then we're going to lose 1 to 3 early on and surely will be shown the door. If he gets the luck from the past then he's probably going to win 6 or 7 of the next 8. Really think he needs to...

Evatt is a religious man and it's Sunday.
I'm sure we can grant him the day of rest.

I dare say if Nolan comes as a package deal, the person that would be accompanying him would be David Moyes You are getting me excited stop it….. Sorry to dampen your ardour, and so soon after your Ainsworth twig, but a sixtysomething David Moyes in Division Three is about as likely as Dustin Hoffm...

Re: Terriers Barking, But Can Bolton Bite Back? - Bolton v Hudderfield - 14/09/2024 @ 3pm
Any League One club in our position would take Sam as manager, regardless of any other considerations. With Kevin Nolan as his assistant. That might keep the twitterati quiet until the next blip. Can you remember the Twitter anger when we lost three semi-finals under Sam? No, because Twitter didn't...
