Re: Bijou Bob's Bargain Basement Buys - Jan transfer thread

Scottish Iniesta? Not played for Palace since 2013. He'll fit right in. Strange, I could have sworn I saw him play for us 2 weeks ago against Spurs Brilliantly little player, Just isnt big enough for the premiership, kept Jonny Williams out of our squad and looks the better of the 2 players. I thin...

Re: Worthy's better class of transfer thread

If Glenn Murray and Zaha leave it will only be for absolutely silly money and we will have 15 million plus to spend on new players.

We are the ones who chuckling mate, you were mugs to give him a huge contract on the back of an 8 game run. Re: Worthy's better class of transfer thread

Murray is going nowhere, especially not to you lot, he had a miserable time under Freedman and hardly got a game 2nd half of last season.

Palace are looking to bring players in, not sell, we have no debt and are sound financially

I heared a rumur we (palace) are after chris eagles

Re: Dougie Freedman - New Manager

Palace fan here I thought he was doing alright for you guys but I see today hes gone back to his favourite tactic of all out defence with a 1-0 lead against shite teams. He's a good manager for a bottom half side but I dont think he'll win enough games for Bolton wanting a quick return, I predict he...

Re: What to expect from Dougie ...

Fellow palace fan here Dougie built a very strong squad here, the football was dour but he did know how to pic a player in the transfer market Im not sure about the wingers part, he played most of last season with 4 central midfielders but maybe he didnt have the funds i dont know What did annoy me ...

Re: Are you happy with the new appointment?

If you need to tighten up then maybe Dougie Freedman may be the man for you The start of the season we were right in the shit at the back, we lost Clyne, Gardener who left and our captain Paddy Mccarthy was injured long term, thats 3 out of the back 4 gone He bought in highly rated Ward from pompey ...

Re: Dougie Freedman - New Manager

As a Palace fan I think it would be serve him right if Dougie ended up at Ipswich, It probably would be good for you guys aswell (you can do better than Dougie) I hold no grudge against Bolton, I think they've made a mistake but I wont hold that against them, to be honest seeing the list of managers...

Re: Now he's gone, who's next?

I forgot to add about Freedman He's absolutely mad on fitness, the amount of trialists and potential signings weve turned down because they were not fit enough was getting silly, us palace Fans used to joke that even mo Farrah wouldnt be up to scratch, so If you have any players who have a poor att...

Re: Now he's gone, who's next?

Palace fan here again  According to a palace blog he's only on 125K a year at palace, lowest paid manager in the league, and out of contract next summer, Bolton have offered him a 1.5m 3 year deal. It seems our board arent convinced enough to make a strong counter offer (also heard they mig...

Re: Now he's gone, who's next?

In answer to above for the next palace manager Im not too overexcited about Mccarthy, he's a bit old school for our youngsters imo

Id prefer Kenny Jackett from millwall, done a decent job there, plus it will piss them off quite a bit

Re: Now he's gone, who's next?

Bolton have had far more recent success (being able to stay in the Premier League for longer than one season beats us!) but on the whole I don't think we're poles apart. We do have similar crowds and similar sized stadia (granted yours is a bit more flash). I don't think the Freedman move suits eit...

It seems its on now,

Good luck to him at Bolton, to be honest I think he will sacked in a year with you guys, he honestly isnt that great.

Crazy move by both your chairman and Dougie.

Re: Now he's gone, who's next?

Which I why I thin he'd be crazy to go to Bolton, a few results going to wrong way and the bolton fans would be calling for his head considering they dont want him, at Palace here because of his background the fans are much more patient with him.

Just seems like a bad move alround to be honest

Re: Now he's gone, who's next?

Palace Fan here Im very suprised to be honest that Bolton seem to want Dougie Freedman so badly, we all love dougie at Palace as he's a living legend but his managerial record isnt fantastic by any means, weve had 2 medicore seasons with dougie and were favourites for relegation this season. Over th...
