Re: Freedman out!
Didn't Freedman do much better with us than Holloway with them in the 2nd half of the season? I bet there aren't many Palace fans who agree with you. Their view of Holloway seemed to be pretty dim, though I could be wrong. Where's that peaceful Eagle chap? I'm sure they wouldn't have him back now, ...

Re: Freedman out!
It seems to be accepted that Freedman has this great record of promoting young players but...who exactly? It's not like there's a long list of young players who Freedman brought through and enhanced. The only young members of Palace's current squad who Freedman managed are Parr, Garvan, Williams, O...

Re: Freedman out!
But isn't that the hope? He's done similar at Palace and built a team on scraps and kids that was at the top of the table. Isn't that why he's here because that is the long term plan, cut the wage bill and bring in cheaper players and develop the kids? He was a manager for about 5 minutes, that had...

Re: PLYMOUTH'S stupendously all singing dancing transfer thr
Hi, Hmmm, tricky. We signed a lot of dross in a poor summer window. But, here are the movements so far; Out Kebe to Leeds on loan (he will leave at end season) Hunt to Barnsley on loan (think he will return - he broke his leg in training just after joining us so this is to get him playing again) Gr...

Re: PLYMOUTH'S stupendously all singing dancing transfer thr
The Ince move may have been hijacked (no suprise as we are incapable of closing deals efficiently) so Pulis may look at Lee if this falls through.

The local newshound re Trotter has said that your offer was
a) dependent upon you shifting a player(s) off the wage bill
and
b) that your offer was "laughed off" by the Millwall board
They are waiting on whether you will up your bid.

Re: Dougie Freedman - New Manager
It looks like your chairman tapped him up. That's nonsense. Get a grip. No smoke without fire. Who is this Mark Curtis fella? He appears to be linked to DF now. BTW - I am at stage 5 now. I heard Freedman didn't have an agent and represented himself. I'd be very very very careful, mentioning...

Re: Richest Battle to reach the Prem Version #26
You have £120m over the next 4 years? You need to get promoted first. Should we get relegated which is highly likely, our medium term future is sound. It's been a great season and you played your part in making it so. Thank you!

Re: Palace Game
wonder if the people of Croydon will treat Dougie as bad as the people of Burnley treated Coyle. airplane message over ground ? etc etc As they got Holloway and continued progress as against relegation and continued sheep fondling misery.. I'd guess Palacites may be somewhat less scorned and wounde...

A very protective sort these fans in the championship. I wonder if any of our lot feel the need to register on other boards?[/quote]
You have on ours, yes.

Re: Worthy's better class of transfer thread
Good luck with the promotion push and if Zaha wants to go then get as much as you can for him. They're certainly trying - one report yesterday had them asking any buying club for his immediate return on loan, accompanied by "two or three" fellow loanees from the same club. Not even sure that's lega...

Re: Worthy's better class of transfer thread
If Glenn Murray and Zaha leave it will only be for absolutely silly money and we will have 15 million plus to spend on new players. If your owners let you. Correct. And lets face it, nobody any good wants to go to Palace. Not correct. Shit hole. Correct. And the most insignificant little club, that...

Re: Worthy's better class of transfer thread
Our owners currently sub the club to the tune of £5m per year to ensure we break even. :conf: In which case you don't really break even, no? You're actually losing £5mil a year, yes? Correct. That's why I said they sub us in order to do so. At some stage they will balance the books and that will co...

Re: Worthy's better class of transfer thread
Chuckling at the memory of Palace fans who initially said there was no way Dougie Freedman would leave Palace to join us. Fair point. I was as shocked as any at the move - but his subsequent press soundbytes (admittedly for your audience rather than ours) certainly made me re-evaluate him as the cl...

Re: Dougie Freedman - New Manager
Worrying mindset; "Were we comfortable winning 1-0? I don't think we were. We need to be able to play in a certain way to see the game out." Getting worse; "I don't think players' mindsets are 'we can win 1-0,' so they need a bit of help and we'll try give them that help," he added "The opportuniti...
