Re: Vale of tiers: Port Vale (H), Division Four, Sat 6 Dec @ 3pm

I'm going to pretend it's just one of those freak games you sometimes get and not an indication that we've been flattered by recent results.
I think that's how Evatt has to treat it publicly, but I hope he'll learn a lot from it behind closed doors.
Should head off any Santos interest as well.

Re: Vale of tiers: Port Vale (H), Division Four, Sat 6 Dec @ 3pm

Comley must be a shout for worst to ever wear the shirt. Not until Dean Moxey's time with us is expunged from the records he isn't! As if it wasn't bad enough, you had to didn't you? 😁 Well I was wrong on one thing, they didn't give up. White for Thomson, isgrove or Darcy for Crawford and see what ...

They've given up.
All good runs end sometime but this is a massive setback. An utter disgrace.

Re: Vale of tiers: Port Vale (H), Division Four, Sat 6 Dec @ 3pm

I agree with the criticism of Crawford. He's just a void in midfield for too much of the game. Last person you want alongside a youngster making his debut.

Re: Vale of tiers: Port Vale (H), Division Four, Sat 6 Dec @ 3pm

Missed the first 25 but then thought we were looking good for an equaliser. Then that from Santos.
He has to change midfield but no idea how he can without going more defensive when we need to chase the game.
It's looking a bit grim.
We're in a good run though, lost a key player and it's one game.

Re: Vale of tiers: Port Vale (H), Division Four, Sat 6 Dec @ 3pm

They deleted a load of old MySpace accounts about a year ago. A lad I play football with's emo/metal bands from his teenage years, Molten Slag and Dirtee Urges were sadly lost forever. Excellent names, but the best I've seen was a death metal band which used to play at the Alma called Nonce Piss. M...

I will, of course, be following our game very closely on the socials.
Well, get you! :D

Did you like that one? I thought I'd throw it in to demonstrate that I might be middle aged, but I'm still down with the yoof. I watch iplayer too, y'know. :D
What's your MySpace profile?

Re: Making HMS YouKnowWhat ship-shape: Winter 20/21 transfer thread

See, I think we're all in agreement that there's no ready-made replacement for Tutte amongst our midfielders - that the options are basically incapable of winning the ball in the middle of the pitch. As such, I think if I was Mr Evatt I'd be spending this week s eeing who out of the defensive optio...

Re: Making HMS YouKnowWhat ship-shape: Winter 20/21 transfer thread

. Having signed in summer, Bolton-born former Huddersfield goalkeeper Joel Coleman (age 25) has only been in the matchday squad twice for Fleetwood, but it remains to be seen as to whether they'd lend us another keeper if we send them back a badly bent Crellin. They bloody well should. For free. Al...

The man who put the Ken Anderson in Scunthorpe? It was an open goal. :D A marvellous effort on the thread title. I went last time in the faltering stage of our promotion season. Parked up next to a boarded up McDonalds, watched us lose 1 nil, got food poisoning from a manky half time hotdog, missed...

Re: The Keith Hill out thread

Let's hope the turnaround is for real. I would have been happy to jettison him early, perhaps due to running out of patience after such a run of BWFC misery or perhaps because I'm a massive bellend. However I'd love to be proved wrong and if so I'll happily sit down with my.knife and fork to a plate...

News in,

Keith Hill is close to becoming the manager of Tranmere.

Carlsberg don't do Saturdays but if they did.
Was just about to post this!
My Tranmere mate is livid. Was obviously delighted until he heard that.

Was at their game today.

Their manager is a Mardy bugger isn’t he?
He sounds like Billy Bradshaw.
His dad can cheer him.up by.taking him to see the helephants.
Sixth form kid at my school last year called Billy Bradshaw. Looked entirely unamused when I pointed out how funny I found this.

Thought Jones did very well. He's not really an attacking wingback, but a good solid defender and sensible footballer. Good to have him back.
