Re: Dirty Old Town, Salford City (A) - Tues 13 April 19:00 KO

The real real big trick now is to back this up at Grimsby on Saturday. In a way this doesn’t mean much if we go up there and don’t do the business. Win the next two and we have a nice buffer for the Morecambe game. Win the next two and we are very nearly there I’d say. How can you say that? It mean...

Delaney! Forgot about him. Quite liked him but he had a horrendous run before getting dropped. Is greenidge still in.the building?

Re: Remaining fixtures

Tranmere sound like they're struggling and fans have turned on David Nugent who's in to replace Vaughan.
It's there for the taking.

Good luck to MM and every credit to both Brittan and Evatt for the decent way it's been dealt with.

Not a member of this forum, but a mutual friend of mine and Bruce had, by the age of 40, been to just one gig. For a woman.

Leaves 3 from Sarcevic Isgrove Delf and Dapo. Can't see Elbouzedi as more than a sub really.

I think Arthur and Maddison have ruled themselves out as starters now
Bit harsh
I meant he blew his chance last week. Consigned to bench at best after that and probably same for Maddison today.

Game in hand on Cambridge on Tuesday. Cheltenham look good for going up now, can't see three overtaking them, but we could get within a point of Cambridge. Salford have picked up a bit and need the win to get into the playoffs. Will be tough. Draw will be decent but hard to be too optimistic.

Re: Something in the water? V Harrogate, home, 3-0'clock Sat 10-04 -21

Very encouraging comeback. Must admit at halftime I was annoyed and decided that on that performance I couldn't justify letting the future Mrs LE grout the bathroom alone, so I switched off. Was delighted to see the final score. Shows some guts. I think Arthur and Maddison have ruled themselves out ...

This is a proper disgrace. Don't like to go ott but I'm furious. They don't look arsed. Dapo heads long throw back to taker then ambles over like he's got all the time in the world. Then everyone lets them take the piss from a corner.
fecking joke.

Cannot complain about that. Wondered how they'd react when the run ended. So far not so good. Plenty time left though.

Re: Something in the water? V Harrogate, home, 3-0'clock Sat 10-04 -21

Argh, quoted myself when trying to edit. Anyway, I am genuinely in favour of starting Maddison today for the first time in months. Thought he showed some good signs last week and if not today then when? Agree. Not because I think he's brilliant but because we're lacking a cutting edge up front and ...

I can only think of Kieran Lee who would have had better support at Sheff Weds than us.
If he stays he might be playing them next season. They're as likely to go down as we are to go up.

Re: Remaining fixtures

I mean that might have something to do with the other team trying to attack. What do you suggest, we nudge it forward from kick off, retreat to the edge of our 18 years box and hope curiosity gets the better of them? It's a cunning plan...I'm in. We should hide a few players behind the goalposts wh...

Re: Remaining fixtures

Seven points to make up in seven games on the leader. Possible? Every game for everyone now is a scrap for 3 points. I believe we should stick to our trusty 4-2-3-1 and don't panic by sticking in extra forward players to score goals on teams who will no doubt stay tight hoping to squeeze one on us....

Aye so 1st/2nd feels less likely and we've lost a place to a GD of 1 better than us. Coulda been worse, just hope it's a blip and not the yips.
They're all caving after seeing us come up on the rails. We're just toying with them.

Re: Remaining fixtures

Also don't get this must win game stuff. We could certainly lose one or even two and still go up automatically. The teams around us are dropping more points than we are. Cambridge and Cheltenham look good for top two after yesterday but third is there for the taking. Repeating out points total from ...

Re: Remaining fixtures

I'm not bothered what league we're in as long as we're competitive and having a go.
Rather bounce up and down than finish 15th to 17th every year.
