Really!
Yep - thought Medo was poor with possession for first half hour, improved a bit after that just a pity we were 2 down by then. Spearing wasn't much better.

Re: Away to Blurrrghburn

Have we actually looked the better side in any of the games we've played so far? I've never felt we were in charge of any of them. Stream commentator today remarked "Bolton have Premiership experience, trouble is they don't have Championship experience!" At that stage we could easily have been four...

Re: Has Reality Not matched Expectation for Dougie ?

I think it's the right decision to prevent Freedman from buying players at the moment. We do need players in the short term because of injuries but in the long term, we have a squad which doesn't really need much improvement, so I think the best option would be the loan market. We aren't in a great...

Re: The "Nothing to see here"Transfer thread

Transfer 'RUMOUR' rumour has it Hall is being loaned out on monday Gotta be bollox would be an unusual move to have a player on loan - then buy him - then loan him out! (especially if we are short... and especially if the manager is investing in youth...) thought I'd heard DF say after the Tranmere...

Re: Has Reality Not matched Expectation for Dougie ?

We got him from Palace. We were selling the opportunity to him not the other way around. I doubt he left Palace because he thought we'd give him buttons in the transfer market to spend. Lets not forget he's said part of the reason he left Palace was their reluctance to bring in the players he wante...

nice one! just to clear up the "Gartside has disappeared" theory.. he hasn't - he gave an interview to talksport just the day before yesterday.. in which he said some interesting stuff about hamann - which might have been ill advised! http://talksport.com/football/sports-brief-murray-meets-phil-gar...

Has Reality Not matched Expectation for Dougie ?

In an attempt to move the topic out of the transfer rumour thread

Did DF come to BWFC with eyes wide open or naively shut in respect of the quality of our existing players and what funds he would have to operate in the transfer market ?

or was he misled

or did he mislead the club

Re: The "Nothing to see here"Transfer thread

So you're taking the side of a young manager who has proven absolutely nothing in the game (and let's not waste pages and pages of this thread, he hasn't) over the man who, at his own expense, has bankrolled the most successful period this club has known a generation? Just because you have a hunch ...

Re: (QP)R We Gonna Pick Up Our First Win Of The Season?

Poor game. Very disjointed, no tempo, no sharpness or snap in the pass or tackle from us. No atmosphere – but didn’t think was toxic as some have said – more apathetic, waiting for the inevitable I know we have got some key injuries but this general approach of letting the opposition have the ball w...

Re: The "Nothing to see here"Transfer thread

Are we that desperate for transfers that we're discussing other teams prospective signings ;) aye! since Nixon's den was closed down - we're gagging for it!! 8) Notice all quiet on a number of forums. As was said any number of times to anti-Nixonites, at least he was keeping us fed with tittle tatt...

Re: The "Nothing to see here"Transfer thread

I look back on him like Petrov; lots of skill, nice movement and such but rarely any end product . Even under Coyle when he played better. He contributed more than Petrov IMO, but in a similar way underwhelmed despite the potential and promise. Scored some nice goals though, that one against Wolves...

Re: The "Nothing to see here"Transfer thread

overated by who. I'd say most BWFC fans had a fairly negative view for most of his time with us. The fee paid (a lot for us) probably raised expectations to walk on water both elmander and petrov are experienced international footballers which means a lot of football professionals in different count...

Re: The "Nothing to see here"Transfer thread

On a separate note I heard today Norwich are getting in Elmander, the jammy b*sta**s. So? Overrated, always has been. He had a good few weeks, maybe month or two, under Coyle and that was it. Lot of skill, but rarely any end product. I don't know about overrated. He cost £8M. His replacements in NG...

Re: The "Nothing to see here"Transfer thread

Todays Daily Fail Leeds have secured the signing of Manchester United defender Scott Wootton on a three-year deal, for a fee of around £1million. The 21-year-old centre-half, who can also play in either full-back position, has experience of playing in the Champions League as well as featuring in the...

think I'd have a quick, strong tackler, good in the air, good on the ball, 2 footed, good range of passing, good reader of the game, leader, hard bastard type as my CB

Re: A case for Defence (is it really all Zats Fault?)

agree with a lot of what you say norpig. nothing pisses me off more than scapegoating. unfortunately ZK has now fallen into one of them situations where he could play well for 90% of time - first mistake and people are on his back. and before everyone says he has to play well 100% - it doesn't work ...

Re: The "Nothing to see here"Transfer thread

But Posh director of football Barry Fry said: “Bolton manager Dougie Freedman has been in touch about Tyrone, but he doesn’t have the money right now.“ Discretion Barry! Discretion. Douglas won't be impressed with that. all a smoke screen before buying Rhodes is a funny one by DF though - we're int...
