Re: Mark Came up top: Swindon (H) Sat 14 Jan 3pm

fine margins as one mr O Coyle used to say. 1st half was a bit meh - albeit we dominated possession (but not really in a goals gonna come in a minute) 2nd - fantastic goal by wheater - our best bit of play for 20-25 mins, should have had at least one more. Last 20 mins they came back into it and it...

Re: Why, I'll Ride Naked Through the Streets Coventry (A) 2/

I'm not going to pretend that I understand the whole phone thing, but I'd say its refreshing to see a young lad who seemingly lives in london, follows the whites around the country, travelling on his own and showing a real passion for the club.

Re: MK Dons (H) 10/09/16 3pm - Match Thread

One of the problems we had today was that other than Ameobi, we had nobody on the bench that was likely to change the game. Taylor is dreadful and Thorpe didn't look up to much, but tbf to him he's probably not match fit. I was also disappointed with Andrew Taylor's contribution going forward. He l...

Re: Southend (H) match thread 3/9/16 (3pm)

Although Mavies let us down repeatedly in terms of what he was capable of, this season especially he had a lot of possession and held onto it for long periods. With that element missing if there's no one else capable of putting their foot on the ball, it's going to disrupt our rhythm somewhat I act...

Re: For new signings, ask the man from the Pru

Its a bit dated and depends on your views on Steve Claridges opinion, but came across the article below in the guardian, in my attempt to find out something about our new recruits. Be interesting to see how he has developed. Steve Claridge Tuesday 6 January 2009 00.05 GMT Last modified on Tuesday 5 ...

Re: Sports Shield - New Owners (Probably)

mmm didn't quite get the deal we did

Wolves have been taken over for £45m by a Chinese group, Fosun International, the club has announced. The Championship side have been up for sale since 2015 and Fosun is to pump up to £30m into the club over the next two years as part of the deal.

Re: New EFL rules regarding Loan deals

mmm

if we are to vigorously pursue the loan market, as I think KA suggested we would, with the embargo to lift it looks like we could be in for a frenetic time - wonder if it'll end up as 48 hours

Re: Phil Parkinson

Hopefully Parkinson is aware of the reality in it's entirety... why not drop him a note and bring him fully up to speed on the club's financial position? I seem to remember some debate on here wrt Lennon when the wheels fell off and whether it was his fault or not, that he didnt fully unders...

not going to pretend I know much about the guy - seems well respected from his time as a player and manager- as with every other supporter just hoping that it works out with us

Re: Which muppet can we appoint next?

Official Twitter asked fans this morning ahead of the fixture list release in a couple of weeks, 'Who do yiu want on the first day?' You can imagine the barrage of responses. For those of us not on it could you give us a flavour? In response the club's question "Who do you want on the opening day?"...

Re: Which muppet can we appoint next?

Yes it looks like they have disagreed about the next manager, but you said that 'that they need to start getting along for good of the club' which is more fabricated bollocks from you. But like I said disagreeing about the choice of manager doesn't make them dislike each other - your just making st...

Read again. "Closer to £15m". Covered in previous posts on here, which I think you responded to at the time, here are a few nuggets: Uncontestable elements include compound interest and management fees. Various other means quite possible and technically legal. More dubious grey areas also available...

Re: The breaking News thread...

well I guess it remains to be seen what SS model is, but if it is to turn a profit (in whatever timescale)I'd say there are a limited number of options to do that as asset stripping potential seems now to have been limited (unless they find hydrocarbons under the macron/ lostock or the hotel becomes...

Dave Sutton's barnet wrote:I find it interesting that these wage figures are suddenly in the public domain. Feels like someone has an agenda.

I'd find it potentially off-putting as a player.
same thought immediately went through my mind - wont exactly help just at a time when players need to pull together

Re: Sports Shield - New Owners (Probably)

so the basis of an article by Iles, on the back of a one line 'quote' from Lennon (both of whose knowledge has been previously questioned) we understand that SS have failed to provide the info that a) since it was in black and white, they should have known they needed to provide; and b) they should ...

Re: ED good memories or good riddence?

I'm not sure why having a debt is an "embarassment" unless that debt then becomes a problem and you can't pay it back and you go tits-up. In our case - it got paid off/wiped/massively reduced and seems not to have been a problem for the new buyers. As Worthy has pointed out more than once - it's a ...

Re: Sports Shield - New Owners (Probably)

Holdsworth said they want to get the club out of the embargo and add a few loans to the squad as soon as possible on radio Manchester. Said he wanted to ensure everything was done to give the club a chance of staying up. good - positive noises. anything else insano ? - cant pick up down here Not re...
