Re: Chungy open letter to fans

I'm sure he would of made a lot more money if he had let his contract rundown to the end of the season and pocketed the transfer fee for himself. Sounds genuine in his affection for the club and hard not to wish him luck in the future!

Re: Lennon announced on Offish site

I would have preferred someone with Championship experience. After Megson I thought it couldn't get any worse, but the club continue to suprise me. Lennon no doubt sees this as a stepping stone and with only experience at Celtic was never going to get an opportunity with a Premiership team.

Re: Bournemouth frustration...

I imagine it would need to be a heavy defeat for Gartside to push the button. A one or two goal loss and we will get the usual "individual errors, rub of the green, if that had gone in different game etc. Expecting a dour draw!

Re: Freedman out!

It's amazing that he is still here as we are in the same place as last year with 5 points after 10 games, at exactly the same point where Coyle was sacked with 11 from 10. Arguably Coyle's team where still adjusting to Championship football at that stage! Hard for anyone to make a case to support Fr...

Re: There's Elland darkness, there's the sulfurous pit - LEE

Leeds are a shambles and Redfern probably hasn't had the chance to take a training session. Leeds to throw everything at us for an hour and then we score 1 or 2 on the break :)

0-2 with a goal in each half. I was going to put this down as an away on my 4 team accumulator but I'm scared it might jinx it!

Re: Wanderers being Sued

Paul Scholes had the right idea, do the deals for himself. All agents are leeches and most of the players too dim to realise they are being manipulated and ripped off. Very true, these people give nothing to the game and take a hell of a lot out. Players should be represented by their own players u...

Re: Freedman out!

You only have to go back to last season, when we finished level on points with Leicester and look at our respective fortunes since. Without really spending anything they have walked away with this league, while despite lots of chopping and changing we have stagnated. Appointing Freedman was a knee-j...

Re: Toothless. Burnley at Home.

We'll piss this! Nailed on comfortable win;followed by a Dougie speech about how good we are and if the fans are patient he will lead us to the Wonderland. The scriptwiters have it ready as an unexpected sneaky win and Dougie speaks about patience being rewarded and corners turned.... .....then we ...

Re: Freedman out!

He's not on a lengthy contract, so getting rid won't make much difference to us. It has to be done, for many reasons including financial.[/quote] It is not normal practice to have to pay out a managers contract in full. It's most probably a percentage or a negotiated sum. The compensation we paid to...

Re: Losing The Dressing Room - No Such Thing

I think if we compared it to the workplace, it would be like the owner of the Company bringing a very inexperienced person into a senior role. He probably interviews well and says what the owner wants to hear but the employees quickly realise the new bloke doesn't know what he is doing and morale (t...

Re: We're going to visit the queen

I suspect the players will have no respect for him after those comments. Just an apology to the travelling fans and "bad day at the office" would have done for the media, with a full face to face bollocking saved for the changing room. Very poor management. Dougie himself said words to the effect of...

Malky Mackay or Steve Clarke would do for me right now. This season's probably a write off, but it gives them time to prepare for next season!

Re: Freedman out!

Dougie's words after Palace beat us with a late penalty just a few weeks before jumping ship last season were: "We've played against Cardiff, Nottingham Forest and Middlesbrough over the last few weeks and that was by far our toughest challenge. "There is no doubt in my mind that they will be in the...
