I noticed a full strength Sunderland lost 0-3 at Scunny last night. Parkys got his work cut out there

Re: The Politics Thread

^ It's a different argument. The point I was making in response to Worthy, was that there were lots of folk who voted for Brexit based on their personal circumstances being pretty shitty already. If you're working with pretty poor terms and conditions and relying on food banks, you probably wouldn't...

Re: The Politics Thread

The very architects of those measures, Cameron and Osborne, The true architects of those measures were Blair and Brown 'The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money.' Austerity was a Conservative party policy (with Lib dem help). Now you might think it was a nec...

Re: The Politics Thread

^ folk who vote differently to you must be brain dead, gullible fecks and enough to make you weep? The Referendum came along during a period of austerity measures that saw nearly a million and a half people using food banks. Many of whom were in work and struggling to make ends meet. The very archit...

Re: Will our guile make Plymouth rock? FA Cup 1st Round 9.11.19 KO 3pm

That felt like many a game under Parky. Slow, pedestrian and too many not getting the basics right. Not helped by the worst referee I think I've ever seen at the Reebok.

So no much needed money spinning tie but better we perform like this in the cup rather than the league

The new Ken Loach film - Sorry we missed you. Typical laugh along Loach stuff! Take tissues and leave with a sense of anger and injustice.

Re: Will our guile make Plymouth rock? FA Cup 1st Round 9.11.19 KO 3pm

I hope Hilly does what BSA used to do in games like this. Half a side of regular first team players with the remainder made up of fringe and junior players, whilst having the insurance of the remaining first team players on the bench in case it starts to go tits-up. My memory of BSA in cup games wa...

Re: Will our guile make Plymouth rock? FA Cup 1st Round 9.11.19 KO 3pm

HG everyone is entitled to agree or disagree its what forums like this are for - but I don't need an excuse not to go on Saturday in the cup, and quite a few who I was with at the Fleetwood game think the same, and I don't think that it makes fans not going against Plymouth 'negative'. We all have ...

Re: Will our guile make Plymouth rock? FA Cup 1st Round 9.11.19 KO 3pm

Looking forward to it. This is a big game for us . Potentially progressing to the 3rd round and a good draw could be big bucks. Hope we win and continue the good form. Probably biggest game we've had thus far. Not for me, I hope that Hill plays some of the youngsters we cant afford any more injurie...

Re: The Politics Thread

John McDonnell smashing it this lunchtime. Probably convinced me into putting my x next to them again I’ve not seen it, but Watson leaving, and then Ian Austin openly telling people to vote conservative could be deeply damaging. It really will be a case of those who are deemed least shit by the ele...

Re: What are you watching tonight?

Have you seen his UFO documentary, Harry? "I believe in UFOs: Danny Dyer". He goes around the UK and America interviewing people who've spotted aliens or UFOs. I wholeheartedly urge you to seek it out and find out if you haven't. One of the finest hours of comedy in the last decade. I've not seen t...

Will our guile make Plymouth rock? FA Cup 1st Round 9.11.19 KO 3pm

Hillys got cup fever. Have you? I'm expecting us to put out a strong side here although there may be a couple cup tied perhaps? Verlinden? A good following from Devon and only a tenner a ticket (props to FV). Another chance to get those fitness levels up and increase an understanding amongst the squ...

Re: What are you watching tonight?

The wall with Danny Dyer. Or the woah as he pronounces it. I don't know if it's usually like that but it was the funniest half hour of telly I've seen in a while. One annoying contestant with a numb c*nt of a partner getting all the questions wrong accompanied by Danny being pwoppa nawty shouting "d...

^:if it's imaginary, I'll take that bet! :D

I don't think they'll beat Labour for seats won but it's not inconceivable. The point still stands though - she should be included on any televised leaders debate

Re: The Politics Thread

I'd never vote for them again but Swinson does have a point with the TV debate. As the 3rd biggest party in England and the only party campaigning on a Remain ticket, they should be included. A point? No. Most politicians talk porkies and no doubt Boris and Corbyn will do their fair share but what ...

Re: Where are you going tonight?

Last night actually but Rival Sons at Brixton academy. Great live band and with excellent support from The Record Company. Support looked like a bunch of normal guys you'd find in the corner of the pub. Played upbeat bluesy Rock n roll. Rival Sons look like a hipster rock band, with all the swagger...

Re: General Chit Chat

Am I missing something here? Where is LLS these days? A combination of not being very well (seriously ill indeed) and having had enough of furum aggro He'll be missed, particularly by me. Best of luck mate. Which to be fair, he was largely responsible for! If you're reading this Spotty - get well s...
