Re: Empty seats @ Macron
I missed the two games just gone as I've just arrived at uni, I tried to give my season ticket to someone so they could go and watch it and nobody would take it, suppose that highlights how bad we are now.

Re: There's Elland darkness, there's the sulfurous pit - LEE
I watched the Football League show last night. Out of our 22 shots, they showed Mason's shot that hit the bar (unlucky), a shot from Mason where he toe-poked it straight at the keeper (should have been a goal) and Beckford's header at the end that went straight at the keeper (should have been a goal...

Re: Abdoulaye's going t'Souk transfer thread
Most of the time, I can't make head nor tail of Freedman's team selection, tactics or substitutions. The thing that made me sad about Freedman was that his subs in the season we finished 7th weren't just good, they were exactly what I would done. I would say 'he should bring on x for y', and about ...

Re: There's Elland darkness, there's the sulfurous pit - LEE
Nice to see him deflecting criticism onto his players again too. "___ can't defend", "___ can't finish" yet no admittance of failure on his part. Whilst I would usually disagree with such general deflecting from the manager, it does seem like our attacking players let him down today. We had 22 shot...

Re: There's Elland darkness, there's the sulfurous pit - LEE
Not seen him play much then? Too many players shirking their effort and a manager who has them playing in a bizarre system I go to almost all home games and a fair few away games, and Beckford for most of them is always trying to get behind the defence with 30/40 yard runs, before coming back and d...

Re: There's Elland darkness, there's the sulfurous pit - LEE
Nope didn't cry at Stoke. Been in league one before that's not the issue. Over paid players who don't give a damn is a major reason why we are in this pickle. Are you so naive to think that just because a player is paid a lot of money means he must be good and must care? Beckford appreciating the L...

Re: There's Elland darkness, there's the sulfurous pit - LEE
I don't think Freedman will be sacked. I think he's here till January and then they will only do it if we are in the bottom three and 6 or 7 points adrift. Marc Iles - 'Dougie Freedman has not been sacked by #bwfc and judging by his post-match comments, looks like club are prepared to brave it.' Se...

Re: There's Elland darkness, there's the sulfurous pit - LEE
I expect my players to be focused not thinking about the good old days when he wasn't crap So you expect players to feel no attachment to a team they played a lot of games for and just pretend that he didn't play and score goals for them (he scored the goal that got them promoted to the Championshi...

Re: There's Elland darkness, there's the sulfurous pit - LEE
This was mid game. Do you not understand the game. Jesus. You applaud at the end From what I've read/heard, he applauded when he came on as a substitute (which makes sense since the game stops for that substitution to happen) and then during the game, the Leeds fans chanted 'Beckford, give us a wav...

Re: Freedman out!
Is it telling that, nearly 2 hours after full time, we still haven't had Dougie's post-match views? Nothing on Twitter, nothing on Facebook, nothing official from the club from him at all, yet... On their official twitter account, for the Brighton game this time last week, the first Freedman quote ...

Have you never seen a player applauding his old team's crowd when coming on as a sub/at the start of a game?jetsetwilly wrote:When did Bolton fans lose their self respect?
You say that we're wrong because we wasn't there, by that logic it sounds like you've not been to many other games!

Love that argument. You didn't spend 39 quid + travel to watch an away game( I think) so you're wrong.jetsetwilly wrote:It's always easier to condone this kind of thing when you are an arm chair fan. Re: There's Elland darkness, there's the sulfurous pit - LEE
Apparently, Beckford scored the goal that got them promoted from League 1, and when he was at Leicester and played against Leeds at Elland Road, he blew kisses at them. Sounds like a over-reaction from our fans really.

Re: There's Elland darkness, there's the sulfurous pit - LEE
From the sounds of it we're wasting opportunity after opportunity. Players have to take responsibility for not being able to put the ball into the back of the net surely? I think he should have started Beckford after mid-week tbh but Mason is meant to be decent at finishing too. Really, every repor...

I always feel like we play teams after they've just appointed a new manager and we get beat by the honeymoon period. Notable ones recently include Billy Davies at Forest (12/13) and Uwe Rosler at Wigan.

Re: the glorious "I was wrong" thread
I defended N'Gog until the day he left. Looks like I'm wrong about Freedman but still have hope in him. I didn't think Phil Gartside was that bad until I found out that we're fecked for money. Out of everything that he's done, the fact we're in this situation where we can't get the player everyone w...

Re: Who Do You Want?
Well, one manager has gone from the list. Palace have just appointed Warnock. He is the sort we need IMO. Did I miss the moment you announced that you are now firmly in the Dougie Out camp ? The mad one has surreptitiously edged his way into the nudge out DF camp - after being the man praising the ...
