Unless Brexit wins by a single vote, then you could maybe blame him (or any other Brexiter) ;).

Re: Next Gen Consoles PS4/Xbox One

Did you ever play Limbo, Worthy? Inside (the vid i posted) is the follow up from that studio. Looks v interesting (and pretty surprising it was announced after about eight million delays). Just watched the first couple of minutes, stopped it as I don't want to see half the game before I've even tou...

Re: Brexit or Britin

I've always thought if it is a brexit vote then those that vote out should be prepared to shoulder the burden of any financial pain for the rest of us. They should be prepared to take responsibility for their actions. That includes the brexit campaign and out voters. I certainly will be holding the...

Re: What are you reading tonight?

I thought it was very poor in comparison to Larssons' trilogy. Apparently Lagercrantz is a committed pacifist and would brook no violence in his book, and of course the Larsson books were built around violence. One of the few books I've started and never finished. Life's too short for books that yo...

Re: Premier League Opening weekend's to remember

Just shows how much things can change in 15 years (and much less too).

Though for some reason I always remembered that match as being 5-1 and not 5-0. I probably didn't believe that we'd have kept a clean-sheet :D

Re: Brexit or Britin

although when Andrea Leadsom pointed out that no one in the UK could name the EU leadership, I'd suggest that they wouldn't be able to name the MP for South Northamptonshire either. Yes but a lot of decisions affecting our country aren't being made by the MP for South Northamptonshire. There's a lo...

Re: Brexit or Britin

Didn't see the debate but only things I've seen on facebook and heard from a couple of people who watched it was that "out" were embarrassing and that Sturgeon stole the show? I guess it is going to depend on your point of view, as ever.... It was the complete opposite in truth. Sturgeon was certai...

Heard a rumour from someone I know with decent links to some staff at the club, Steve Cotterill announced tomorrow, press conference Monday/Tuesday. Same person was bang on about Freedman but also told me we were getting Chris Coleman when it turned out to be Megson....We shall see...think I'd pref...

There is a fourth book, not written by Larsson but in the style of. Missus just finished it and said it was better, if anything , than the previous three. There may be more by now but the book is 'The Girl in the Spider's Web' by David Lagercrantz Same characters, new story. Just starting that one ...

Re: Which muppet can we appoint next?

Yeah but megson's 27% was in the prem and was relatively consistent through his time here. Both coyle and freedman spent a good while in the championship and started really well before huge barren streaks eventually led to their dismissal. Would be interesting what each of their win percentages exc...

Oh dear!
In Hoboh world jobs would just be automatically assigned to whomever was born closest to them I guess.
That probably would massively reduce congestion :D

Re: What are you reading tonight?

Finished The Immortal Throne last week. Not as good as its predecessor and even that one was harder to get into than her husbands work. A friend recommended The Girl with all the Gifts, so I gave that a shot and I've finished that too. Dystopian side of Sci Fi rather than anything space related. Fou...

Re: Brexit or Britin

Haha, it's so clear to me now! Though that's still a sizeable sum coming out of the EU fund every year for the past 30 years just for Portugal's roads. But if you're going to compare to UK's road spending paid for by itself, then surely you should at least double the Portugal figure to take into acc...

Re: Brexit or Britin

If leaving is really the best thing to do that would be awesome, I'm just saddened that it has to be tied up in nationalism, xenophobia and the British empire. I'd be much more likely to embrace Brexit if it had something to do with the way the seas are carved up that isn't good for British fisherm...

meanwhile - Farridge - still miffed that he wasn't invited onto Boris blunder-Bus has been squawking on about there needing to be a second referendum if they lose this one narrowly - cos this one won't have been fair... Re: Brexit or Britin

Boris Johnson really does not do himself or the Brexit campaign any favours by bringing up Hitler. He desperately needs someone to assist in what he should and shouldn't be saying. Though I do find Hilary Benn's response saying "Leave campaigners have lost the economic argument and now they are losi...

Re: For new signings, ask the man from the Pru

You're brave. This'll probably be the most gut wrenching and soul destroying transfer thread in years. And with today's announcement - alongside the probably sale of Holding - this prediction has come to pass. Well maybe not soul destroying, but certainly disappointing to see us lose (get rid of) s...

Re: Which muppet can we appoint next?

Which is quite right by me. What if, say, Bradford lose narrowly in the play-offs and Chorley lad Phil Parkinson, the league's fifth-longest-serving manager, decides he wants a change? Meanwhile we've rushed into appointing Kevin Nolan overseen by Peter Reid... I agree completely, I just wish that ...
