Re: Hanging on, January Transfer Window thread 2017
Long's a terrible player with a record of 3 goals in fifteen games. He's been on loan at Fleetwood. Not an ideal signing I'm my opinion.

Re: Hanging on, January Transfer Window thread 2017
Long has scored four goals in fifteen games whilst on loan which suggests he's not good enough for us but better than Madine.
Scraping the barrel now.

Re: Pigs might fly...Charlton (h) 28th Jan 2017
As someone pointed out, these next few days are crucial. I can't see anyone coming in good enough to solve the goal scoring problem we have. Unless from set pieces we don't look like scoring. The club remains in deep shit.

Re: Pigs might fly...Charlton (h) 28th Jan 2017
Sick of arguing regarding Madine because I think he's a waste of a shirt. He has no skill no idea and no pace. "yeah but he gives 100%" said the voice aimed in my direction. Madine can't score goals and for what he does is no use to this team. From what I have witnessed in recent league games were g...

Re: Mark Came up top: Swindon (H) Sat 14 Jan 3pm
I'm sick of folk telling me "Yeah but, Madine works hard" he does at times but gets absolutely nowhere. Our forward line seldom looks like scoring which is a big worry. So Madine works hard? but nothing ever comes from his flick ons etc. Our inability to kill teams off could be the difference betwee...

Re: The Scally Kents - Gillingham (H) - Mon 12 Dec 20:00
What impressed me as much as the play was the off ball organisation. The closing down, creating space and making themselves available was very impressive, Gillingham couldn't cope with Bolton last night.

Anything is possible whilst sweaty Ken is at the helm. Predicted this early season that the club would end up in the shit again, Ken will buy Deano's share then sell a few assets and eventually the club. He doesn't give a feck about the club only his pocket.

Didn't go yesterday, but from what I have read and been told we still need a striker. Madine again is not the answer to score goals. I watch him closely but I'm still in doubt as to what he even contributes? They fans who sit close by are always telling me he works hard? maybe so but he's still not ...

What ever the Manager see's in Madine is beyond me. That c*nt is stealing a living, he's rubbish. He wouldn't get in Atherton colls team.

Re: Visit of the Valiants. Port Vale Home...29th Oct.
Never been a Madine fan nor will I ever be. Yesterday he did hold up the ball allowing for others to play off him but his goal attempts are very limited and for a centre forward it's worrying. Maybe I'm too critical and don't give the lad a fair assumption? That yesterday was the best football playe...

Re: Next gigg: Bury (A) Monday, 24/10/16, 19:45 (Sky Sports
As I have said earlier a goal-scorer would be the difference between play offs and automatic promotion. It's a long time since I have seen a Bolton team dominate play so much yet struggle to score goals. There will be some strange results just like the Oxford and Rochdale games, we dominate yet stru...

Re: Next gigg: Bury (A) Monday, 24/10/16, 19:45 (Sky Sports
It was a good performance where we made Bury look very poor. One worry and it's in front of goal again? two penalties and not a goal from open play which is a worry. Madine for all his effort is not going to score many and Proctor is totally useless and stealing a living. A goal scorer similar to th...

Re: Into the Lions' Den, Millwall away, 18th Oct. Match thre
Can always remember going to Millwall in the 70s. I was on a works course in London for a couple of weeks and it offered the perfect opportunity to see the Wanderers. I got to the ground and asked a copper which end Bolton fans would be, copper told me to shut up else you'll end up in Hospital talki...

Re: I should have told em, Oldham. Home, 15th Oct.
Decent performance and a needed win. Despite that it's worrying that we only scored one goal from open play with the chances created. Oldham are a poor side and offered very little as opponents. We need someone who has a knack of putting the ball in the net else we could struggle later on in the sea...

Until they solve that same old problem of scoring goals I will remain a bit apprehensive about this one. They have yet to convince me.

Despite being a season ticket holder that was my first game this season and probably my last. What I witnessed was nowt short of diabolical. I have listened to reports of how bad they have been so I decided to see for myself. I know we had a decent start but we did that with Mark Davies in midfield,...

Re: Out, damned Spotland, I say. Rochdale (A) 27/9/16
I think too many fans expect too much considering what this club has been through. A good start got every fan believing their club can get promoted at the first attempt. Those who went to Rochdale tonight deserve a refund.
Until someone who knows where the goal posts are Bolton are going no where.
