Re: There's a Tavern in the Town - Arthur Scargill is a clown... Barnsley (H) 15/10/22

"Awake, for morning in the bowl of night has cast the stone that puts the stars to flight!" Roughly translated into Lancashire dialect, means, "Wakey, wakey,' it's Saturday and time to switch the floodlights on and thunderclap the stars of the Unibol to victory" or summat.. COME ON YOU WHITES...

Re: Brew Years Day - Burton Albion (H) - 01-01-2020

He'll be saying that Burton are a good team and we were doing all the right things except when they scored but we must look ahead to the next game. Wasn't it Coyle or Lennon or Parky used to trot out the same phrases week after week. Don't normally criticise the damager but I'm afraid he just doesn'...

6000 attendance. Can't be doing with such low crowds so maybe a blessing being knocked out. Had 10 shots with 4 on target, same as Plymouth. We still need someone to convert those shots into goals .

Re: Ken Anderson - New Owner (Definitely. For Now ..... )

Wouldn't surprise me if, in the fullness of time, it will transpire that Bassini was "Employed" by KA simply as a smokescreen in order to keep up the pressure until the only alternative left is admin. Then Ken walks away with a handsome profit while leaving all the debt behind. Perhaps the financial...

Just hope it doesn't go down to the last game and decided on goal difference. That'd be particularly hard to take.

Re: I Wandered lonely as a cloud ..Whites v Wolves Sat 21st Apr. 3-0

Wolves may well turn on the taps to not just get automatic champions but 100 points and 100 goals. Hopefully it will mean charges against us that could well leave space for counter attacks. Hope we get at least a point but 3 would certainly be better. Plus the teams around us to lose so we can keep ...

Re: Will we be beating the Blues, or singing the blues? BWFC v Birmingham 3/4/18 8pm

Be interesting to read Parky's summation of the match. Particularly where they went down to 10 and there was no increase in our possession, shots on target beyond the original 5 shots, none on target. If we can't beat or draw agaist a 10 man Brum then we deserve to drop down again.

Re: Ken Anderson - New Owner (Definitely. For Now ..... )

It might be Ken just pre-empting the terms of the AVC in case he loses the appeal. Putting the club up for sale now so he can sell it at short notice in six months time? Perhaps.

Re: Ken Anderson - New Owner (Definitely. For Now ..... )

Damage limitation now and let's hope that KA can buy from the liquidator at a good price and then hope the EFL will be a bit merciful about any, if, points deduction. I wonder how much DH has in his sky rocket now. He's really mugged the club despite his good (?) intentions at the start of this mess...
