Re: Who do you believe?
I’ve just watched the Sharon interview and it is extremely good viewing. I’m so glad she is in charge of our club and hopefully will be for a few years to come.

Re: Summer 2021 Transfer Thread.
Aye, I'm not sure he's signing players on the basis they can cover several positions, but I think it affects choices on the bench, which makes sense. For me the worrying areas are RB (I like Jones, but I think he could be improved on - Kioso for example) and I'm far from convinced Brocky can do tha...

Really enjoyable game and a great atmosphere. The step up in quality of opposition was quite significant but I thought we mostly coped. All the new lads did well. Sheehan is an excellent footballer as is Johnston. We conceded a couple of soft goals but hopefully that will not be a regular thing. Dec...

I'm looking forward to this, it will be great to be back in the ground. This will be a testing game against a team galvanised by losing their manager. Hopefully we can nick it. 1-0 Sarcevic.

What an amazing turnaround by the lad, looked like an accident waiting to happen early season but then became our brick wall. Well done Ricardo

Re: Crawl over the finish line (please!) sat 8/5 @3pm on the Sky box
The Home team get the first 500 @ £8.54 per subscription and then the away team get £8.54 for every subscription thereafter So if (as is hardly a ludicrous suggestion given the buildup) we got 20,000 viewers on Saturday, we earned £4,270 (500 x £8.54) and Exeter earned £166,530 (19,500 x £8.54)? Yo...

The most worrying thing was how asleep we were at the start of the game. They just knocked a simple ball through and allowed the bloke to pick his spot. So complacent.

Elbo's pace on the break is more useful in a team which will come at us rather than sit deep. Still not sure I'd start him though. Assuming Sarce is injured I'd revert to Dapo-Delf-Isgrove with Elbo and Arthur adding pace and trickery late on. Agree. This is not the time to be starting Madison as h...

Re: Scrambled Easter eggs. V Colchester at the Unibol, Friday 3-0.
These are the games that scare me most in the run-in. It looks like we just have to turn up to get the win. However, football is not like that especially with a team fighting for their life and new manager brought in the week before.

Re: Frank Worthington
Really sad news. I'll never forget his debut against Stoke in 77 - the 11 year old me sat there in the Manny Road seats in absolute awe. He scored too :) . When he left it was my first experience of the feeling of loss. Sounds overdramatic, I know, it's true though. RIP Worthy, and thanks for every...

Re: Will it be Balsall from Walsall? Sat 20/3/22 (h) 15:00
I think I have Sarce at being a bit more than a minor blow, but not insurmountable...we lose someone who's scored 6 (is that our second highest scorer?) and bagged 3 assists and replace with someone with 1 goal and 2 assists. I think Isgrove is pretty genuine and full of running. Sarce goals bagged...

I agree but he will likely go with Isgrove and Delf in the Sarcevic role.officer_dibble wrote: ↑Thu Mar 18, 2021 5:05 pmHoping Arthur gets the nod to start. Due a fair shot now.
Plenty of good options on the bench though with Arthur, Miller and now Elbouzedi.

Re: Championship prediction and analysis by fivethirtyeight (professional analytics company)
I don't need a fancy prediction analysis to tell me that we will be in the bottom six with Burton, Millwall, Barnsley, Birmingham and one other (QPR/Bristol City). We have got a job on but we have to hope that we get enough points against the teams mentioned and we are lucky with injuries.

Re: Commencing countdown, engines on (5, 4, 3 ...) - Leeds Utd (h) 06/08/17
We do indeed need more presence than we had yesterday. Was all too easy to cut us open. That said, the defence shouldn't get off scott-free either. Second goal, they lost a dude who scored 30? last year. Nowhere near him. Third goal everyone stepped up except Darby. First goal sucker punched althou...

Re: Ken Anderson - New Owner (Definitely. For Now ..... )
My take is that we're not a million miles from what we'd have expected. So the most significant things are probably cashflow and going concern, bearing in mind that we still showed a £6.4m loss. We are now 12 months further forwards, with some big earners off the books (Moxey, Mavies, Spearing - an...

Wonder if a loan for (Reece Burke) might also pave the way for a similar deal over Josh Cullen, two months Burke's senior. http://www.theboltonnews.co.uk/sport/wanderers/15369708.Wanderers_test_water_with_West_Ham_over_double_loan_deal/ Good call. We are undoubtedly relying on a couple of very shre...

Re: The Promotion Commotion Transfer Thread 2017
Twitter is awash with rumours from fairly credible sources that we're about to sign a lad called Reece Burke on a season-long loan from West Ham United. He's a young centre-back who can also play at right-back, and meets two of Parky's usual criteria in that he's over six feet tall and has previous...

Re: What will we need when we're inevitably in League One next term
Long time lurker here, fan for 40 years. Just got back from the most atrocious game of football I've ever seen. Promotion has long gone. Forget about it. League one next year will be a massive relegation scrap without major investment. I'd put my house on us being relegated to league two this time ...
