Re: Pre Season Friendlies

Opposition was no. 25ish in Denmark, so not particularly impressive. Helsingør had a couple of quality players only. Their big centrehalf looked very decent indeed. Taking the lack of quality into account I'm a little less positive about the Bolton performance. But all in all a pretty fair summary. ...

Re: Pre Season Friendlies

True that. I knew i forgot something. Max was a bit rusty, but a few quality touches from him too. Same can be said for Clough. And I don't know where to begin with describing the shiteness of Twardzik. Lost every bout out there and completed approximately zero passes. He'll be murdered in league 1...

Re: Pre Season Friendlies

Fun day out, small stadium, small crowd, decent whites turn out. Per Frandsen and Claus Jensen in the stands, and they seemed to enjoy themselves. First half Bolton looked something like this. Amos Osede-Finney-Dervite-Moxey Wollery-Pratley-Vela-Walker Clough-Madine Madine was good (seriously) bully...

Puyol is 5'10.

I thought him at least 6'1 or bigger. Cost me a round of beers, the midget.

Here's a list of achievements from another short arse centrehalf: Club: La Liga: 2004–05, 2005–06, 2008–09, 2009–10, 2010–11, 2012–13 Copa del Rey: 2008–09, 2011–12 Supercopa de España: 2005, 2006, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2013 UEFA Champions League: 2005–06, 2008–09, 2010–11 UEFA Super Cup: 2009, 2011 FIF...

Re: Pre Season Friendlies

Last two times the whites visited Denmark we played Brøndby, one of the biggest clubs in the country. Now Helsingør, I don't even know which division their playing in? How the mighty have fallen! Anyway should be a nice day out. Helsingør (Elsinore in English) is a nice city. Hamlet and all that ......

Wasn't there a couple of Danish/Swedish fixtures around this time? Can't seem to find anything and I was looking to go?

Decent attackkng options in the bench if we need it. And let's face it, were going to need it.

Re: Bijou Bob's Bargain Basement Buys - Jan transfer thread

They're playing " Who would you like to have back as a Wanderer?" on Marc Iles's site. So far nobody mentioned Ivan Campo. If only... :oyea: In their present condition (as opposed to time-machined heyday), but ignoring financial constraints, it's not an extensive list. Of players we once owned, unl...

Re: Pre season friendlies at Macc, Preston, Tranmere and Dal

The Danish season is just about to get underway. The swedes are mid season. So all teams are way further in their preparations than us. By the way, Brøndby beat a relatively strong Liverpool-side 2-1 yesterday. Just sayin' Saw the Brondby - Liverpool came last night (it was on BT Sport or Premier S...

Re: Pre season friendlies at Macc, Preston, Tranmere and Dal

Terrible first half. Decent second. First half was a real summer game, no energy, no grit, we didn't have any attacking momentum. I was looking forward to seeing the youngsters. Well now I have. None of them made any impression whatsoever. Second half much better. Fight and fury and a few decent att...

Re: Abdoulaye's going t'Souk transfer thread

As Burnley showed last season, a mean defense will get you very far in the league. Dont concede and score gives you 3 points. While I am happy with our CB options now, I still believe we are weak on the flanks. We do not have the likes of Hutton or McNaughton in our squad and both full back positio...

Re: Pre season friendlies at Macc, Preston, Tranmere and Dal

A bit of info on the Danish venues. Brøndby is the 2nd biggest club in the country. It's situated on the outskirts of Copenhagen - a shortish train/bus ride away. The stadium is a 25000 seater. Not exactly charming. Good set of supporters too, but I'm guessing the lure of the mighty wanderers is pro...

And apparantly a trip to Denmark as well. Playing Brøndby in july - no date set yet. I'm guessing a few more games in DK. At least I hope so.

Re: Tickets for Millwall

I'll do without the kicking, thanks. As for tickets, do I go through the Bolton ticket office? Do we know for certain that the next FA cup game after Cardiff - if we win - is on the 15th? The offish site isn't terribly helpful. I must admit that a rescheduling of the Millwall game would be a massive...

Tickets for Millwall

So, the mrs. bought me one hell of a christmas present. Plane tickets and hotel in London on the weekend of the Millwall game. Now all we need is the tickets for the game (bolton end) and maybe a bit of how-to advice for Millwall. Anyone? I'm a Dane hence the inexperience in going to away games. My ...
