Outstanding. The whole thing was like a pantomime. One of the best performances in absolutely ages.

We're playing on the front foot and looking good - just like many of us have been asking for :)

With respect, we're playing that way becaue they're allowing us to. It isn't the first time we've done it.

Re: Carpe Diem....Versus Derby County at the Unibol, Sat 29th Sept.

A brilliant half. Committed and hard-working. They've looked dangerous but haven't created anything that can really be described as clear-cut, largely because of our players throwing themselves in the way and fighting for everything. We're having a lot of joy by hitting it long and catching them out...

Re: Carpe Diem....Versus Derby County at the Unibol, Sat 29th Sept.

Parkinson has a bit of a moan when teams have extra rest days or more rest days than us if we play midweek etc and regularly comments that it can affect performances - However, I suspect it wont have any effect on Derby ....I cant see anything other than a heavy loss 3-0 or 3-1 Derby. It will. It's...

Re: Suffolk hating or breathing sighs of relief..Versus Ipswich away 22-9-2018.

The jump in quality from L1 or L2 to the Championship is surely too big for that though, particularly when it is seven or eight players making that jump together? I've posted previously on here that I think the gulf in quality between the second and third tier is greater than it is between any othe...

Re: Suffolk hating or breathing sighs of relief..Versus Ipswich away 22-9-2018.

I've just watched the highlights. What a coincidence it is that Kayden Jackson finds himself unable to stay upright the exact moment he thinks he's set foot inside our penalty area.

Re: Heading to the Riverside for Pulisball. Middlesbrough (a) 19/9/18 745pm

Not calling for PP to be sacked. He's always struck me as a manager who can spot failings and rectify for them. I just wish him and his staff could have a bit more confidence at home to take games to teams. Not to ALL teams, of course - I expect Derby to be rampant next week - but for me QPR should...

Re: Heading to the Riverside for Pulisball. Middlesbrough (a) 19/9/18 745pm

Football is about opinions though, innit. In my opinion, we need to attack on the front foot at home. As Stevie G said about Rangers last night, Rangers are better when they attack. We're better when we attack at home, too. And, let's face it, our home performances have been dire so far with these ...

Re: Suffolk hating or breathing sighs of relief..Versus Ipswich away 22-9-2018.

Not just more attacking, but possibly indicative of a style change. Quotes from the Boro thread: Primarily our issues at home stem from a back line, Wheater in particular who drags the midfield deeper. The midfield either leave Wheats and co exposed or sit deeper and leave the forward isolated. You...

So the side is out.

Buckley, Otzumer and Noone in.

Wheater on the bench along with O'Neil and Vela.

Suppose that's negative.

And Hobbs and Wilson.

Alnwick, Olkowski, Hobbs, Wilson, Grounds, Lowe, Williams, Buckley, Oztumer, Noone, Magennis.

Re: Ken Anderson - New Owner (Definitely. For Now ..... )

Indeed it doesn't, looks a lot like the '80s though. And a large part of the '70s! And the 90s. McAteer, Stubbs, Curcic, Thompson, they all had their price and were sold when someone bid it. Not to mention Per Frandsen, obvz. But then everyone has a price. Like when Fergie said he "wouldn't sell a ...

Yes they are - he's brain washed into defensive non creative football - which is why it really surprises me that some supporters think he can do absolutely no wrong

Will you quit with this kind of thing? There's literally no-one on here who's uncritically pro-Parky.

Re: Ken Anderson - New Owner (Definitely. For Now ..... )

I don't think that team selection has a bearing on it, I actually thought the starting XI yesterday was quite strong. Its Parkinson's mindset in regards to how we start games, In the 1st half of games we never just go for it even at home, we are so tentative making sure that we don't concede first ...

Re: Ken Anderson - New Owner (Definitely. For Now ..... )

The problem is there is no one at the club capable of coaching more creative, attacking football. Unless I'm mistaken we only have Parkinson (Manager), Julian Darby (1st team coach), Steve Parkin (assistant manager) & Lee Butler (goalkeeping coach) who coach the players during the week....therefore...

Re: 3-5-2 at home?

Ps. I don't think that two up front is a magic pill to cure all our ills, or that Oztumer is the messiah, but I would argue that Williams has quite a bit more about him in a "footballing" sense than any of our other functional central midfielders. I would argue that on the basis of today! I wasn’t ...

Re: 3-5-2 at home?

I'm still not convinced that 2 up front is a magic pill to cure all our ills. Getting an extra striker in the side results in issues elsewhere. 3 at the back would scare me with the defenders we have, and we don't have what you would term "wing-backs" in the squad. The issue we have is that we have...

No Olkowski?

Lack of a left wing back option makes it a no from me.

Potentially had we signed Robinson it could have worked...but Sami Ameobi playing behind a front two for me.

Alright then, Ameobi in behind and Olkowski on the right. Noone on the left.
