Re: This weeks RIP's........

Just read about Clive James. Very sad, a very funny and entertaining man. R.I.P. I've never read him but the esteem he's held in by those who have makes it clear I'm missing out. I came into contact with this snippet of his writing tonight: "Common sense and a sense of humour are the same thing, mo...

I see Jlloyd's family are having a completely normal one: https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/jlloyd-samuels-family-accuse-ex-20956653.amp?__twitter_impression=true Stranger than strange. Re: Wham, bam, thank you, Stan - Accrington S (A), 3pm, 23 November

Yeah, the result bothered me a lot because we were starting to get some hope (some of us anyway). When I checked the score and it was 2-1 and we'd had a man sent off, I really did feel like 'that's the weekend ruined' and that's the first time I've had that feeling for aaaaaages. Indeed. But lookin...

Re: Wham, bam, thank you, Stan - Accrington S (A), 3pm, 23 November

The biggest problem imho is playing Bridcutt, Lowe and Murphy. I am not sure the three of them are more productive than Lowe and Murphy being in there, the balance is all wrong, they are all too similar. We were effectively down to nine men today. Agree although it worked against MK. The difference...

Re: Wham, bam, thank you, Stan - Accrington S (A), 3pm, 23 November

I thought I was well past the stage where a Wanderers defeat could ruin my weekend but I woke up this morning feeling more deflated than I was when I left the ground. I'm not wanting to sound over dramatic but it does feel as though we lost more than just a match. The end of Hills honeymoon period?...

Re: Wham, bam, thank you, Stan - Accrington S (A), 3pm, 23 November

I reckon our weak spot is the left hand side - Chicksen who has been excellent until yesterday, being exposed by having can’t track back/ won’t track back COG in front of him. Bring back Will Buckley from the mystery injury. Bunney would be a better option. Really want to know when he's due back. C...

Re: Wham, bam, thank you, Stan - Accrington S (A), 3pm, 23 November

If there’s anything good that can come out of this it is that the seemingly growing collection of knob head fans we have, the vast majority aren’t old enough to remember pre allardyce (and certainly pre Rioch) might get a grasp of where we are at. Not the kind of fan we have on here (or other forum...

Re: Wham, bam, thank you, Stan - Accrington S (A), 3pm, 23 November

Do we ever put a performance in when we have a big away following? I think Hill will regret the decision to push Bridcutt back rather than bring a proper centre-back on. Not that it was ever likely to affect the result. And being stood down at the far end of the stand, practically level with our def...

Re: Deduction prediction

Bearing in mind the rest of the league's anger at the decision, it was inevitable they'd appeal. It's incredibly frustrating because I think we all just wanted to draw a line under it and move on, yet now we've probably got it hanging over us for at least another couple of months if not longer. On a...

Re: Deduction prediction

It's subject to appeal. Our celebrations might well be premature. Surely only we have the right to appeal and not other clubs? The EFL have the right to appeal. They can appeal the panel they themselves appointed? How hilarious is that? Cheer up FFS. This is the most positive thing BWFCI has ever p...

Iles: "The news has not gone down well among Wanderers’ rivals in League One and the EFL has also stated that it reserves the right to appeal the independent panel’s decision." https://www.theboltonnews.co.uk/sport/18052776.bolton-chair-sharon-brittan-looks-future-efl-reprieve/ Perhaps I'd not misu...

Re: League One 2019/20

At the start of the season the bookmakers priced us at 1/200 to be relegated. Today, they've priced us at 1/3. I used to think we wouldn't have the squad depth to manage staying up irrespective of any further punishment, but now I'm increasingly beginning to think our hopes rest solely on the number...

Re: The Dons visit the University...V Milton Keynes Home. 3-0'clock 15-11-2019

19 shots (to their 14), seven on target (them three), 58% possession. I’d say we edged it :D Didn’t feel like that at 11 v 11; even at ten men they managed to spot an open goal over the bar. Genuinely don’t feel like we played well - Verlinden made a difference when became on. Confused he played on...

Re: The Dons visit the University...V Milton Keynes Home. 3-0'clock 15-11-2019

Sounds like we're up for it so far. Have to start turning half-chances into full. At least we seem to know where the nets are. We sort of are but it mostly feels flat. They had a great chance to score and should've done but they're not a good team and are there to be beaten if we go for it. We've d...
