Re: Schu me the way to Amarillo - Summer 2025 Transfer Thread

Back to the Collins rumour. If it is true that we'd be willing to sell him, then I'd rather the club buy his replacement before we sell him. I'd rather not take the chance of selling him then finding out we can't get the replacement we want. I'm not sure we - or any club really - has quite that muc...

I hate the use of "Bolton Wanderers is".

Get in the bin.
I noted that on the Dalby story. What’s that all about?

I assume we've got a new social media bod in.

Re: Schu me the way to Amarillo - Summer 2025 Transfer Thread

Welcome aboard, Xavier.

Hopefully he's just the type we've been crying out for in midfield.

Who is it?

Got to give them props though. I can’t stand these social media nonsense reveals but this is actually good.

On a personal note, why would he want to drop down to League 2? And with Franchise FC. He's surely still got something to prove in League 1 with eyes on promotion this season.

They're well-backed financially and at his age, it'd be his last big contract.

I could see him being interested.

They seem to have decided he’s not a good option for them, with preferred alternatives including Aaron Ramsey and Jack Wilshere

Doesn't that make me feel old...

Re: Schu me the way to Amarillo - Summer 2025 Transfer Thread

Darren Witcoop, a journo close to Cardiff, says they’ll choose between Des Buckingham and Aaron Ramsey. Evatt said to have dropped out of contention. Plymouth sources say they’re doing their final interviews this week and Evatt is not in contention. Oh Ian. Neither particularly near where he lives ...

Pete O'Rourke's reporting that we're signing Steven Fletcher.
I saw that but I think that its a fake account @SportsPeet0 joined Feb 2024.

Yeah, I think you're right.

Re: Division Three, 2024/25

Huddersfield Town appoint Lee Grant as their new manager.

It's his first managerial role and, on the face of it, I'd guess that's likely to be better news for us than it could've been.

All County Championship matches have been streamed live on YouTube and the ECB website for quite some time now.

It's quite handy for passing half an hour or so.

Re: Schu me the way to Amarillo - Summer 2025 Transfer Thread

There's some suggestion online that we might've agreed a compensation package to sign Sean Roughan from Lincoln City.

LB/CB, 22-years-old, an impressive amount of experience in this league for his young age.

Re: YOUTH ALLIANCE LEAGUE NATIONAL FINAL

I'm very encouraged by the success of our youth teams on really hope it gives us something of a foundation to build upon but on the making it as professionals front, I think it's important to recognise that our club currently plays at a lower level of youth football and it might be good to temper ex...

Re: Schu me the way to Amarillo - Summer 2025 Transfer Thread

Koroma's a name that stands out.

I guess the difficulty is I think we get the best out of Collins by playing him wide left, which seems to also be where Koroma is most comfortable.

Re: 'None of the above': Who's your player of the year 2024/25?

Didn't realize that Schon got so many. I wonder what his role will be when we ditch Evatts system. He and Tutu are not really full backs but I can see where Tutu could be an attacking full back as he can defend. Schon cant defend so, no to being a full back, but as a winger in the new system I woul...

I'd move Schon on if at all possible. I'm not sure he does anything particularly well and, crucially, he takes up one of the two slots we have available for European nationals.

Re: Pointing the way. Stevenage at home Sat, 3rd May 3-0'clock

Finishing 8th is about par for this team. Thomasson, Matete, Johnston and Murphy were the best out there for us today. Missed 3 absolute sitters. Even with this soft team of ours we create lots of chances in this division. But we also concede a lot. God knows what Schuey can do about this in the su...

Re: Pointing the way. Stevenage at home Sat, 3rd May 3-0'clock

Another very good and honest post match from SS, he's clearly not happy and knows exactly what's needed - it won't be easy shifting the deadwood but I suspect that we may have at least 6 or 7 new starters next season. Watching his face and his body language on the side lines today, I also suspect t...
