Re: Minefields and banana skins.V Oldham Athletic away Tues 2nd March 7'O clock.
We've quietly picked up six clean sheets in our last eight. Granted, they've come against clubs in the bottom half, but it's still encouraging.

Nice and comfortable. Our season-long mid-week unbeaten run continues.
A couple of very big matches coming up, but we have no reason to fear anyone now.

It's a waste of time trying to make sense of this league. Not that I'm complaining, mind.

It really is a huge luxury to be able to change our entire front line without weakening it every week.

Stevenage are thumping FGR. It's a funny old league, this.

Re: Contract expiry
Brilliant. It feels great to finally be in a position where we can sign up our prized assets to longer contracts.

I'm not sure it was a particularly necessary question to ask, and I'm not certain Evatt's response was just about Henshaw either, but he needs to get a f*cking grip.
Just play it with a straight bat. If Henshaw's comments really did bother him that much he should raise it privately.

By the same token, and I can't embed it no matter what I try, someone on Twitter has dubbed Jack Deaden's Wilbraham commentary over Miller's goal yesterday. It's a thousand times better for it.

Re: Will the wheel drop off? Barrow (h) 27/02/21 15:00
I'm quite surprised Thomason didn't enter the fold in the second half yesterday. If the intention was to dominate possession and hope to tempt them into making a mistake - and it seemed to be - his ability to switch the play quickly would've been very useful. One of the reasons we found it difficult...

Re: Will the wheel drop off? Barrow (h) 27/02/21 15:00
Well I think we got a point we barely deserved. For all the possession we didn’t look like scoring until that incredible ending. In fact, I would say BECAUSE of all the possession we didn’t look like scoring. It’s no good having that kind of ball when you don’t have creativity. Sarcevic and Isgrove...

Re: Will the wheel drop off? Barrow (h) 27/02/21 15:00
That win put us 21 points clear of relegation, Barrow still have 2 games in hand so it could be 19 ahead of Southend. P.S. Miller is behind the ball when it's played. Again, feck you Gary Henshaw. I'm not at all sure he is. That just makes that bit sweeter, though. onside.png I say onside...

It has been all season. Never have I known so many crosses hit the first defender.

Re: Will the wheel drop off? Barrow (h) 27/02/21 15:00
There's a fine line between passing along the backline to drag the opposition out of shape and spending too much time passing along the backline because of an inability to drag the opposition out of shape.
Bring Arthur on to run directly at them.

Re: Will the wheel drop off? Barrow (h) 27/02/21 15:00
The no sub keeper thing is really stupid. It makes me nervous but there is some logic to it. The only logic I can see is that Elbouzedi must be better int' nets than our spare goalies, which, to be fair.............. ;) There were times earlier in the season where I genuinely wondered if Crellin mi...

Re: Will the wheel drop off? Barrow (h) 27/02/21 15:00
The no sub keeper thing is really stupid. It makes me nervous but there is some logic to it. “More attacking options” is his logic, but do we really need more than Fonz, Arthur, Miller and Thomason? Not for me. Well, we've picked up points lately by being able to effectively change our entire front...
