Evatt suggesting that we might see some changes from Saturday due to injuries, so hard to predict the starting lineup.

Iredale would be unlucky to miss out again, for me.

Re: Twixt Cups and Lips. Home to Shrewbury Town, Tuesday Apr 16th 7-45.

Whilst we should win tomorrow, I don’t think it’s a foregone conclusion. I’d be slightly concerned about a mental hangover from the weekend given we likely cost ourselves the chance of the automatics. Anyway, I’d be tempted to make a few personnel changes to avoid overworking some key players ahead ...

Re: Getting hairy: Portsmuff at home 13/4/24 3pm KO

Easy for me to say with hindsight, and entirely speculative, but I do wonder whether we’d have given ourselves a better chance of winning with different substitutions. Charles I’d have brought on for Bod much earlier and probably have left Collins on. Sheehan and Maghoma I’d have kept on until the e...

Re: Getting hairy: Portsmuff at home 13/4/24 3pm KO

Can't decide how it makes me feel. "Good but not quite good enough to beat the champions" might be alright. "Good but not quite good enough to go up" would hurt. Back out of our hands now. But weird stuff continues to happen. Ask Posh, battered 5-0 by the same Oxford we battered 5-0. Ultimately it ...

Coleman, Charles, Forrester, Jones, Williams, Dempsey and Jerome the bench I would say.

Same team to start as vs Gas but with Charles on the bench then?

I’m genuinely interested to know how confident Insano is feeling about this one, so if you’re reading this, mate, please get your account reinstated.

Having to win at Posh on the final day is a stomach-turning prospect tbh.

Re: Race to the tape: 2024's League One promotion campaign

On paper there's not too much to give you encouragement regarding Wycombe's prospects tonight. They have nothing to play for, are coming off the back of a Wembley defeat on Sunday, which in addition to the disappointment also means they'll be significantly less well rested than Derby, and their home...

Barnsley losing to Stevenage. If it stays that way you’d think Posh would be the only side that could realistically catch up with us.

Re: Race to the tape: 2024's League One promotion campaign

Santos we're maybe equipped to deal without by shifting Toal into the middle, playing Jones or Forrester on the right and Iredale on the left. Taylor looks a promising player, but I'd be reluctant to chuck him in now off the back of an injury, and having only played 190 total minutes for us. Sheehan...

Re: Race to the tape: 2024's League One promotion campaign

Going into the playoffs in really good form is crucial. In which case Lincoln are clear favourites. If I have done the sums right they have 35 points out of the last 39 And scored 33 goals in that time Their last league match is home against Pompey. Lets hope Pompey still have something to play for...

Re: Pirates but not from Penzance. Away to Bristol Sat 6th Apr. 3-0'clock

Just watched the highlights again and that save by Baxter before we scored is awesome. I do like to hope that Coleman would've done the same. The difference for me was when there was some panic at the back, it remaijed with the defenders. Baxter is such a calm head, almost like the safety net for a...

Re: Race to the tape: 2024's League One promotion campaign

I suppose we’re hoping for a Wycombe victory in the trophy final this afternoon then. That’d bring a nice double whammy of boosting the Chairboys’ confidence ahead of Wednesday and demoralising Posh.

Re: Pirates but not from Penzance. Away to Bristol Sat 6th Apr. 3-0'clock

A positive update today from the boss regarding Baxter, so I expect him to come in for a Coleman as the only change from Monday. The Gas have nowt to play for, and there seems to be a degree of negativity amongst their fanbase, so it would be very disappointing if we weren’t to win this one. 1-3 Bol...

We really will have fecked up if we don't go up automatically. Pompey and Derby not a shade on any of the three who went up last season.

Re: Dem Bones, Dem Bones, Dem Bare Bones....

I concur, Mar. Coleman in recent weeks has shown himself to be a more than capable back-up and we should be pleased with the contributions of someone who has barely played for the past few years. I too am no longer overly concerned when he starts. However, prior to getting injured Baxter had proven ...

Re: Dem Bones, Dem Bones, Dem Bare Bones....

IE latest interview gives very positive news on the injury front - fingers crossed. Noises that Charles and Baxter could be ready for Saturday. I assume that Charles would only make the bench initially, but I suppose Baxter could start. Dan Nlundulu also supposedly close, although I struggle to see...

Saw khumbeni scored for Morecambe on Friday - might be able to make some money on him.
Yeah he seems to start every game for them, which is an encouraging sign. I wonder whether we'll look to loan him out again next season or try to sell him in the summer?
