Re: Will we be at the races? Cheltenham (h) Saturday 16 Jan 15:00 KO (GMT)
Very poor 2nd half for me - yet again we can't play for 90 mins or even 60 mins, Santos or Isgrove MOM for me & Sarce did well. Why on earth Arthur doesn't start is behond me - he has more passion, drive, spirit than half the team combined. I really am losing faith in Evatt & I'm now having serious ...

Re: Making HMS YouKnowWhat ship-shape: Winter 20/21 transfer thread
What if there are 'out of contract' players out there who can improve our first 11 but just aren't currently fit enough ?, surely its better to sign them now and get them integrated into the set up, used to the style of play etc. so that they can hit the ground running next season, instead of bringi...

Re: Making HMS YouKnowWhat ship-shape: Winter 20/21 transfer thread
Where have I said that they need to be 'fit to play games now' ?. I said that we are not going up this season so why not target youngsters with potential who we could get fit, play the odd game but the real aim is that they would be ready for next season. IMO we should be planning for next season no...

Re: Making HMS YouKnowWhat ship-shape: Winter 20/21 transfer thread
Disappointing if the rumours are true IMO, the two players apparently arriving are two inexperienced young lads with only a handful of league games between them, certainly no Craig Dawson. Ben Jackson - left back from Huddersfield & Zach Elbouzedi - winger from Lincoln Rumoured to be in the squad t...

Re: Making HMS YouKnowWhat ship-shape: Winter 20/21 transfer thread
Are both under 21 and therefore don’t count towards the squad cap? Dibs, I think the lad Jackson is and can also play left midfield - Elbouzedi is 22 so will count, he's apparently a very pacy winger. I've no issue with them as players, I'm just disappointed that they are loans, we are not going up...

Re: Will we be at the races? Cheltenham (h) Saturday 16 Jan 15:00 KO (GMT)
This is the one, Cheltenham are out of form - not won in 5 apparently ? (yes, I know that we are normally the gift that keeps giving etc.) but tomorrow is the day it all clicks, 2 x more new signings, including a Craig Dawson type new CB (wishful thinking)
4-1 Bolton.
4-1 Bolton.

Re: Making HMS YouKnowWhat ship-shape: Winter 20/21 transfer thread
I'm not ITK or owt, but an apparent reliable poster on WW has said today that 2 deals are done for another midfielder & a defender. Perhaps they will sign in the next 24 hours ?, but the guy has said that the deals are done. We will obviously have to wait & see but it sounds encouraging. Glad we're...

Re: Exeter Expects. Exeter City v Bolton (A) - 19:00 - 12th Jan
I think this is moving away from the original debate... I’m still undecided on Evatts brand of football...I don’t think we’ve seen anything approaching like what we were promised but there have been some flashes. We had on Monday what seemed like the perfect (at this level) pair of wing backs, now ...

Re: Exeter Expects. Exeter City v Bolton (A) - 19:00 - 12th Jan
There is certainly not much excitement with this team, if we are lucky we get 10-15 mins of high tempo, high intensity football out of 90 mins every week, the rest of the time its slow & turgid. We are seriously under performing by some distance under Evatt, this squad should be a minimum top 10 sid...

Re: Exeter Expects. Exeter City v Bolton (A) - 19:00 - 12th Jan
Credit to the Manager who Gnahoua and Crawford on. Made a big difference, especially Gnahoua who has wonderful skills. Looks like he would be a good false 9 for Doyle in a 4-4-2. People say Delf and Sarc are better than this level . Don't see that at all. They are AT their level. Overall, a decent ...

Re: Exeter Expects. Exeter City v Bolton (A) - 19:00 - 12th Jan
1-1 is a decent result, but again the performance was all over the place. Sarce I’d say is lucky he’s been made captain, because he’d be getting dropped in favour of Thomason for the next game if he weren’t. This absolutely - Gnahoua made the difference IMO, much better player than Fonz & Gilks kep...

Re: Exeter Expects. Exeter City v Bolton (A) - 19:00 - 12th Jan
Absolute comedy of errors that goal, shocking defence WTF Santos & Delaney - this is simply not good enough. The team we have out tonight is good enough to avoid defeat at Exeter, I honestly haven't heard of a single player in the Exeter team and I'll wager that our wage bill is higher than theirs. ...

Re: Making HMS YouKnowWhat ship-shape: Winter 20/21 transfer thread
Very good signing Kieran Lee, just the type of energetic box to box midfield player we have needed for years - possibly Evatt's best signing to date IMO if he stays fit. Sheff Weds fans are to a man very complementary about him. All we need now is a decent GK and a big powerful centre forward to hel...

Re: We've all come a long way: Crawley (H) Sat 2 Jan @ 3pm
For what it's worth, he did literally change it after they scored yesterday. Brockbank played as a full-back and Isgrove moved further forward, in what ended up looking like a lop-sided 4-3-3 . It was the formation we played during the spell where we dominated late on. A couple things stood out to ...

Re: We've all come a long way: Crawley (H) Sat 2 Jan @ 3pm
FV are winging it as much a Evatt is - Auntie Sharon comes out with nice regular updates and the odd pic of her celebrating the very rare goals we score & some fans think she is the best thing since sliced bread. Yes they saved the club and we have some stability and for that I'm eternally thankful,...

Re: We've all come a long way: Crawley (H) Sat 2 Jan @ 3pm
Evatt, post-match: "I changed shape in the end and longer term I think that’s the way I see it, I was just trying to get us through to this ten-day window where I can get bodies in, some training in." He is so full of shite. I thought you liked him for his honesty and it was all the players' fault ...
