Re: Should I(E) stay or should I(E) go?

I voted go & have calmed down a bit after Saturday and want him to go more than ever ! I actually don't mind him as a person, I just think he's a poor manager who talks the talk but hasn't improved us at all IMO in any area of the pitch. I'm talking watching us live at matches (not just stats) He wi...

Re: Should I(E) stay or should I(E) go?

Not sure anyone, anywhere, ever has said that Evatt should carry on as he is. I've repeatedly said he needs to change. I can't speak for all stay-voters, but I'm confident they all think the same to a greater or lesser extent. There's a serious conversation to be had, and it'd be lovely if it start...

Re: Should I(E) stay or should I(E) go?

Yes it's now down to fans to find out who's available, who wants it and then interview them before suggesting alternatives. I have noticed that not many have responded to my question about those voting stay and whether this stay vote is based on Evatt accepting his failures, changing his ideology & ...

Re: Moving on: Forward March.

Sorry TD but with respect anyone thinking that Saturday can just be swept under the carpet and forgotten is deluded. Saturday was damaging and should Evatt stay and we are not in the top 6 after 10 games, the fans will turn and it will become toxic very quickly. Please do not under estimate the dama...

Re: Should I(E) stay or should I(E) go?

Common sense seems to be overhauling passion. Change is needed and I think he must know it, , but not the manager, just his mind. ae:) ae:) How is this done, how do you get a very stubborn Evatt to change his ideology & philosophy to accept that what's gone before hasn't worked - just curious ? Als...

That would do. I don't want to be his bezzie.
The current one is also not very likeable and wins lots of football matches.
Yes but not the important ones that matter

Re: Should I(E) stay or should I(E) go?

I think he'd take it unless he has better offers in the championship, we are a more attractive proposition than some may think. If Alex Neil wants to get back into football, I don't think wages would be an issue - great stadium, decent fan base, good chairwomen, ambitious board etc. possibly a decen...

Re: Tooling up: The summer 2024 transfer thread

But it’s about creating the sort of spirit and whatever that Oxford had for the last 12 games. They weren’t the best side but they went up. Because their collective overcame sides with better players. You get what I’m saying. That’s the job next season. Being the tactically best manager getting eve...

Re: Should I(E) stay or should I(E) go?

I think if you’re keeping the system we have to upgrade the wingbacks. Cooley was on the whole excellent this season but he isn’t Connor Bradley. We won’t get Connor Bradley but perhaps loaning one from above might be the way to go there. Randell I think is as good a signing as you get at this leve...

Re: Tooling up: The summer 2024 transfer thread

That would be peak Evatt, get a player in on loan, don’t play him, then sign him cos he knows best!! I'm not sure that Evatt actually knows what type of player or players will get us out of league 1, his signings are quite similar - we have all (practically all) said for a couple of years now that ...

Re: Should I(E) stay or should I(E) go?

^^ I think for me, Bertie, if he's going to go, either under his own steam or otherwise, we just need it to occur quickly. We've been told plenty that a minority or just a few not rights want him gone, but this little survey (obviously not statistically representative) suggests there might be a few...

Re: Should I(E) stay or should I(E) go?

I honestly can't understand anyone saying he should stay, if he did it would be absolutely exactly the same next season. He's not going to want to re build his team (would FV even back him to do so after the backing he's had already ?), he won't want to get rid of some players who he's brought in hi...

Re: Rising in Wembley's Glow: A Bolton Wanderers Tale - Bolton vs Oxford. 18th May 2024, 4.15pm

Just seen santos didn’t bother fronting up for interviews. Get rid of that spineless c*nt now. I appreciate that he's the captain, but surely we can't just single out Santos. Why on earth Evatt thinks that Santos is capable of being our quarter back dictating play is weird, every time he had the ba...

Re: Rising in Wembley's Glow: A Bolton Wanderers Tale - Bolton vs Oxford. 18th May 2024, 4.15pm

After that non performance yesterday I honestly can't see how he can continue as manager - it felt as bad yesterday as the the Stoke semi final did, but the performance was even worse yesterday against an average Oxford team who just played un complicated football. From memory the Oxford keeper didn...

Re: Rising in Wembley's Glow: A Bolton Wanderers Tale - Bolton vs Oxford. 18th May 2024, 4.15pm

How anyone and I mean anyone can defend Ian Evatt after that disgraceful, shameful, spineless performance is behond me - I know that there are happy clappers who can't hear a single word of criticism and just accept mediocrity. Bottlers end off, a team of robots managed by a robot - I don't think th...

Re: No nonsense, Ronseal type of deal. Barnsley Away. 3rd May 2024 19.30pm

It's not easy to watch, is it. The silly fouls in the dying moments of each half. Keeping it exciting! How do yellow cards work? Do you get suspended for the final with two in the two legs? I was just about to ask that question. Great result controlled the game without playing well - Santos immense...

With all due respect, I’m certain that neither set of players will give a feck what Marc Iles writes.
On this occasion though Iles is correct.
