Re: We Must Beat-a-borough - Away v Peterborough, Sat Apr 27th 12:30

Does anyone know how we’re doing with “must win” games this season?

Re: Breaking pots... Home v Port Vale Sat 20th Apr. 3-0'Clock.

Some of the football yesterday was absolutely beautiful. Interesting what a win does to the lens tint of Evatt’s tenure. Under him, we have looked as technically superb as I remember a Bolton team. So entertaining. He deserves so much credit for that. Wasteful in front of goal, again, but Collins is...

Was there at a weird angle to it, but that Ogbeta chance… Was it as clear-cut as it appeared to me? Looked like 1. It should’ve been headed and 2. He should’ve followed the header with his full body weight to take anyone on the line with him.

Re: Getting hairy: Portsmuff at home 13/4/24 3pm KO

Bloody shame. Lots of opportunities et cetera, but nowt to say in that regard that hasn’t been already. Positives, in that Collins is looking a ruthless finisher, Santos—despite some awkward distribution—absolutely monstered both Bishop and Yengi, and we played with fight, guile, and some brilliance...

What it’s all about.

I could be sick.

But it’s what it’s all about.

Don’t remember a chipped finish in a league game for a long while. Confidence and poise, that. Proving himself to be a lethal finisher. Interesting to see what line-up he goes with once Charles is back. Collins’ general play and physicality isn’t there, but he’s looking so effective where it matters.

Given us a bit of fight, that beautiful goal. One of the few times this game Thommo’s had the ball with space in such a position. He makes things happen when he is.

Re: Pirates but not from Penzance. Away to Bristol Sat 6th Apr. 3-0'clock

A cautious (dreadful?) performance so far. Clearly the wind is playing its part, but that’s no excuse to miss so many short passes. These wing-backs are so frustrating: Ogbeta noticeably off it: although not many opportunities, the one he had to find a man from the touch line, he missed. As above, P...

Re: Race to the tape: 2024's League One promotion campaign

A much better Derby than the one which played us, and yet they took 3 that day. They were smart and took both goals well from the same side. One can only hope there’s a lesson for Evatt for our right-side to be direct against that left-back.

Not ideal by any means, but it never is.

Re: Not between the lines...V Reading at home Monday Apr 1st 3-0;clock

On Easter holidays and recovering from an illness, so quite a good excuse to watch the entire Pizza Cup Final on YouTube again. God we were good that game. Forgot how superb Bradley was: if a mon in behind, we had Santos, Toal, and Bradley who could make up the ground. Can’t help but feel we can do ...

Re: Not between the lines...V Reading at home Monday Apr 1st 3-0;clock

In terms of shooting and final balls, Thommo mostly had a rough one today, although really came into his own when it got stretched in the last 10. His decision to pass to Bod for the 5th—who looked marginally offside to me—was one of the strangest I’ve seen live, but fortunately paid off and actuall...

Man of the match? Thomason again for me. Made the mistake or at least partial mistake but was outstanding second half. The key to us injecting tempo into our play. And this… https://x.com/bwfcbwfc/status/1765134497694007344?s=61&t=2S-4yd-XQDrzjLPnui--KQ Noticed that. I love him. Look at that passio...
