Re: Tranmere (A) - Twisting my Mellon Man, Battle of Keith Hill survivors group

More and more he’s moving away from the ‘we had 70% possession and if we do that we will win more often than not’ to the realistic pragmatic manager setting a team up to win games by winning the fight and then letting their quality shine through. Spot on. I also like it that he’s not averse to going...

Yep. Opinions/arseholes and all that, but I thought Santos had Clark-Harris's number throughout. Proved wrong those who say that he can't do the physical defending well. Though, of course, not really surprised that BWFC-I thinks differently! I also thought he had Clark-Harris number, but I s...

Re: No Posh nosh at The Unibol. V. Peterborough at home, Sat 17th Sept. 1500.

I’ve just read this quote from Afolayan this morning and it made me laugh. For anyone who hasn’t seen it. “When they (Santos and Clarke-Harris) both fell over and then got up, they looked like they had done 12 rounds! It was a bit mental to watch. I haven’t seen anyone bump Rico but Clarke-Harris di...

Was it just me yesterday that had my heart in my mouth on at least two occasions when Trafford came charging out to tackle the Peterborough attacker, not just for potential injury but getting a red card. If we lose Trafford it will kill off our promotion hopes imo.

Two mistakes in a week by the Captain and in the latest, today, he could have cleared it. Maybe he thinks he can’t be dropped but Captains can be dropped as we’ve seen with Maguire recently. We need some competition in the CB spot, I hope Toal provides it.

Re: Deal or no deal? - Summer 2022 Transfer gossip!

IIRC wasn’t David (diddsy) Lee initially brought in on loan and then became permanent. Fossey would and should have done the same. However more than happy with Connor Bradley but he obviously won’t become permanent.

He defo gave it against MJ. Who was being wrestled for the full minute before the corner and then after. fecking ridiculous, and par for the course. Oh, and by the way, is it me or has Afolayan been in the weights room during the summer? I think a few of them have. What impressed me today was they ...

7th. I still have doubts about our ability to shut the door at the back. Considering we have an ex CB for manager seems strange.
Hope I’m wrong, would love a playoff spot.

Re: Deal or no deal? - Summer 2022 Transfer gossip!

Unless Thomason has improved significantly in the past few months, I don’t think he’s good enough to play for a team with aspirations of promotion from League One. There’s a player in there, but he still makes a lot of errors, and we’re not in a position where we can afford for him to be learning o...

The thing we’re missing atm is a no nonesense cb. I’d have Radhi Jaidi alongside Santos, scores from set pieces too.
