Re: Schu me the way to Amarillo - Summer 2025 Transfer Thread

Answering my own earlier question, the other keeper on trial is Tyler Miller. Cheers. 6ft4in Noo Joisey-born 32-yr-old who's spent most of his 200-game career Stateside, bar a brief dip into German lower leagues in 2015 and a recent six-week dalliance with Notts County. I did not have him on my bin...

Orient and Blackpool are making some decent signings, although they've lost a few as well.

Re: Schu me the way to Amarillo - Summer 2025 Transfer Thread

Although I will say there is a lot going on; it does feel like a cheap option to facilitate other deals.

Re: Schu me the way to Amarillo - Summer 2025 Transfer Thread

As a fan, I would have preferred a much more experienced #2 keeper than a player whose vast majority of appearances are for Mickleover Sports (not Town; thanks DSB).

Re: Schu me the way to Amarillo - Summer 2025 Transfer Thread

Yeah it's just about finding players with good resale value, Simons and Gale fit that bill for instance. We're not looking in the bargain bin just yet.

And/or another player that you can make a profit on in future.

I did say a few weeks ago things would have to be run more sustainably. Thus, transfers like these are inevitable.

Re: Schu me the way to Amarillo - Summer 2025 Transfer Thread

I suspect we will see further outgoings of fringe members of the squad before a flurry of signings.

Re: Schu me the way to Amarillo - Summer 2025 Transfer Thread

I’d say that him going to Wrexham a league up is a big loss and we will need a quality replacement. Sheehan is not the answer to anything other than staying in league one and Morley doesn’t and can’t do what Thomason does. But money talks I guess they see Simons as a better fit for a 4-2-3-1 jmjhb ...

Re: Schu me the way to Amarillo - Summer 2025 Transfer Thread

The fee is almost always bollocks FYI

Is that net? Gross? In instalments? The ITKers on Twitter don't think of that.

How many Barbadian dollars was Gale again?

Re: Financiers, investors and white knights: What next for FV?

Ian may have taken on too much, but from what I've heard from staff, he acted like he ran the place too...

Hence why I think both coach(/manager) and sporting director were changed and a clearer structure formalised.

Candid interview here from SB; https://www.theboltonnews.co.uk/sport/25319779.bolton-wanderers-chief-sharon-brittan-restructure-error/ Interesting, thanks. You can never tell without seeing/hearing the original tape, but (at least the way it's presented here) it feels like she's blaming Markham mor...

Re: Pre-season 2025

Re: Schu me the way to Amarillo - Summer 2025 Transfer Thread

Got a funny feeling that our next captain is already here. Forino. I'm not saying that your wrong, and its only my personal opinion but I really hope he's not. 1. I'm not totally convinced by him as a player never mind a captain. 2. I think that we need someone a little more vocal & can lead by exa...

Re: Schu me the way to Amarillo - Summer 2025 Transfer Thread

750k feels like a figure we would seriously consider at this point. Of course, it won't be the total amount up-front.
