Dempsey ‘we weren’t good enough over the 46 games and Derby were’.

Players are more honest about it than a lot of our own supporters.
That's refreshing.

Re: We Must Beat-a-borough - Away v Peterborough, Sat Apr 27th 12:30

Famous last words, but I'll think we'll beat Barnsley over two legs.

In the final, I think our style would favour us against Oxford. Judging by today, us vs Peterborough would be a toss-up. Funnily enough, I think Oxford might be a worse opponent for Posh than us.

Regardless of what division we're in, the defence needs looking at in the summer.

Yes, we've missed so many gilt-edged chances but we're second top scorers. Pompey and Derby have gone up conceding 10+ fewer.

Re: We Must Beat-a-borough - Away v Peterborough, Sat Apr 27th 12:30

Barnsley concede a late equaliser! Gonna be interesting to see that one. Might very well be a case of Barnsley picking their opponents and letting Northampton have one. As if this season wasn't aggravating enough, Barnsley in the play offs again. FFS. Yup, not like they'll want to put any past fail...

The thing is, both of these teams can turn anyone over on their day but are just as capable of throwing in an absolute stinker. Can't predict it.

Re: We Must Beat-a-borough - Away v Peterborough, Sat Apr 27th 12:30

In a way you can’t read owt into it - Derby have won it we’ve switched off, but there was a chance at half time and it’s been shite since then. It is somewhat worrying. You’d fancy playing us put it that way! You'd be confident of scoring against us, but not keeping a clean sheet A team capable of ...

Pompey with an early winner by their standards, looking like it's going to be Oxford in the playoffs

Re: We Must Beat-a-borough - Away v Peterborough, Sat Apr 27th 12:30

If Derby have a limited bunch of players, they need to ask why their wage bill is easily the highest in the division. But hey-ho How many of derbys players would you pick in our first 11? Their manager and their organisation is worth a lot of points to them. I have absolutely no doubt about that. 4...

Re: We Must Beat-a-borough - Away v Peterborough, Sat Apr 27th 12:30

Derby strolling to a 2-0 win despite being under the cosh whilst we are 2-2 after dominating proceedings highlights why we're 3rd and they're 2nd.

Looking like 6 points from the must-win last 4 games. Meanwhile, Derby got 10. Consistency gets you up.

Of the playoff contenders, Barnsley are the only team we haven't beaten this season.

We need to get a finishing coach or something though. Never seen a side miss so many sitters.

If we're to be successful, it'll be through Collins. Gets us something out of nothing, that lad.

I thought Caleb was a RWB, is that wrong? Does he do both?
He's primarily a centre back although has played on the right of the 3 I think?

Re: Dem Bones, Dem Bones, Dem Bare Bones....

The annoying thing is we've spent over 2M on forwards and are playing CJ out of necessity.
